I live in Northern VA & was recently (& unfairly) discharged from my Dr. of over 4 yrs. I am nearly out of meds & NEED to find a new Dr. asap! I take methadone (& occasionally either opana 20er or oxycodone 10 mg for breakthrough pain only & rarely) If there's anyone who can help me find a new Dr. (NOT associated with the Alt-Med group!!!) I would be beyond grateful! PLEASE HELP! I've called at least 45 doctors & keep coming up empty: either they don't prescribe Methadone or they won't accept out-of-pocket pay! Grrrrr! Hello I took a urine analysis today and it came back for oxy and opi. I take vicoprofen 7.5/200 3 x a day and ambien aka zolpidem 10 MG and methylphenidate 36 mg tabs aka Concerta 36. I've been to the emergency room with in the last 30 days and was provided w 1 small dose of oxycotin. Now my issue is when it showed pos. For both oxy and opi my nurse told me that it was ok because my Concerta and ambien show up as oxy and my vicoprofen shows up as opi. But I didn't tell my Dr I was seen at the emergency room because she told me this and due to it being my first appointment at there office he sent the urine out to the lab for levels and such. i am on methadone 5mg twice a day for long term pain. i am on 10 mg oxycodone four times a day for breakthrough pain. i hate methadone, but its a long story having to do with a stint at a clinic. i couldnt tell my doctor that. i have been taking 10 mg opana ir and they work well, i just have built a tolerance to it. i think the 20 mg twice a day along with two 15mg oxycodone for breakthrough should do me well. i cant take the opana er because they make me sick, do you guys think that what i want is a good enough substitute? any comments and suggestions would be helpful. thanks ## Was on both meds- got off both. I have been taking methadone 20 mg every 6 hours for 2 years and was started on Lyrica 150 mg twice a day. Ifeel very weird after only taking the Lyrica one time. I want to know if this is normal or do I need to take the media at different times? ## Hello, Cathy! How are you? What symptoms are you describing by saying you felt weird? I'm sorry, but I need more details, before I can say whether or not it was normal. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Lyrica as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, weight gain and mood swings. I recently tested positive for methamphetamine and oxycodone, I have not done methamphetamine for almost four years and no Percocet/oxycodone since april. I did get a shot of morphine in my hip at the hospital. Also i take zantac150mg 3 times a day, norco 7.5, buspar 10mg, mobic 15 mg, naproxen 325 mg, .seroquil 200mg, i also have hepatitis C. I take 4-10mg methadone. I'm worried that they also got me on 100mg Zoloft plus a 150mg Trazadone and 2- 20mg adderal. Worred about taking all this pills. I've taken these pills for 8yrs now. The Zoloft they put me on 2 months ago. I breath fine but have had it fill like my brain is starving for oxygen to the point I fill like I'm suffocating or READY to pass out. How long will it take to get the pain meds of fentanyl patch 75 mcg and oxycodone at least 40 mg to 60 mg daily, out of my system? It has already been 5 days and I am amazed that I am not sicker. I do feel bad enough but nothing like I know it should be. This was not a planned situation. I live in a remote area and just could not get to a place to purchase my meds. I went to my pain doctor yesterday and did a urine test and it came back that I had Methamphetamine and THC in me.I take alot of medicines everyday,I start with DULOXETINE, then add Methocarbamol,Gabapentin,Oxycodone,800mg Ibruprophin,all 3 times a day and at bedtime it's Clonazepam,Zolpidem and Pramipeexole. This is a nightmare!! I suffer from multiple auto-immune diseases such as Connective Tissue Disease, R.A, Livedo, Raynauds, & traces of Lupus. All of which cause EXCRUTIATING PAIN!! I was in a auto 04/2010. My back is broke in several places and my L shoulder. My family an I were told I need a 24 hr operation on my back and a 12 hr operation to replace my shoulder. I am a 59 ye daysar old male who is 100/disabled and have been on methadone for the past 20 plus years. Due to the new drug laws along with the retirement of my recent physician, it seems almost impossible to find a new doctor. My new PM doc pushed methadone 10mg x 3 daily on me after being on oxy 20 mgms 2 yrs for back issues. Im having problems, every bone in my body is killing me!! its terrible, the only relief i get is taking the percocet for break thru pain. I have an appt tomorrow again. Also, i now have extremely high blood pressure, could this be causing it?. He pushes ONLY methadone, i cant understand why... he swears its the best pain reliever around yet, im not doing too great on it. any ideas why? For approx the past six months I have had even more problems than usual filling my morphine ir 30 mg. twice there have been drug shortages. I need to change to an equivilant medication like roxicodone,or something similar. What dose of oxycodone is equal to 4 X msir 30mg per day??? I take a toal of 120 a month, in additon to taking a low dose of methadone as well.
