I need to know if my Oxycodne IR 15mg light green pill with M oneside-15other side, with a indent center line is extended release . I am detoxing soon and is really important as I reduce down from apx 160mg(2are60mg long release) W/5mg for breakthru pain. Dr is retiring and I had scripts for all. ## IF it is oxycodone 15mg IR hints the IR that means instant release unless you have your pills confused that narcotic is a instant release form,Oxycontin stands for continous release so if it is oxycodone then it is not extened release. ## This tablet is actually neither the immediate release, nor the extended release, it is just the regular release 15mg, generic for Roxicodone. Little yellow tablet one side has the numbers 445 and the other side has ETH ## Taking 100 mcg Fentanyl for chronic pain with 15 mg oxycodone imm rel 3x for btp. I have somewhat better attitude but with low or no pain relief. 15 mg oxy just isn't enough for the btp. I'll see if Dr. will increase dosage. is there a difference between the oxy-IR 5 mg pills vs. the capsules. I have a bad reaction to the pills but not the caps. Thanks. ## What type of reaction did you have? There can be differences in generic medications, they are allowed to differ, in the active ingredient, from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20%. For most people, such fluctuations are not a problem, but some people are very sensitive and can experience problems. In addition, the chemical salts also do not have to be exactly identical, so if the manufacturer of the pills used one that is slightly different, that could also have caused your problem. is the oxycodone 20mg time released i beleave the 15mg/imprinted with the 15 on it is not thanks for the help/bob ## Hi Bob, Oxycodone HCl Controlled-Release Tablets are supplied in 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg, and 80 mg tablet strengths for oral administration. The 20 mg tablets also contain polysorbate 80 and red iron oxide. But I don't think that has any impact on the absorption rate. I hope this info helps! What does a roxycodone 15 mg immediate release look like.. I was prescribed this today. I had hip surgery and was sent home with a little green pill with a m in a box on one side and a 15 on the other. Is this the same thing? My bottle says oxycodone 15 mg.. But it doesn't specify immediate release. ## There is no immediate release Oxycodone in that dosage, thus, the 15mg tablets that you've received are regular release tablets. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Many doctors do write them as being immediate release, because they are not time released like Oxycontin. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, I've been taking half a 15mg oxycodone every morning around 9am. I don't like how a whole one makes me feel and I can still function with only a half. I usually take 1 whole 10/325 norco at that time but I'm out of them so I'm stuck taking the oxycodone. For the past 4 days I've been taking 1 daily 30mg adderall tablets(instant release) about 2 hours after taking the oxycodone half. I was taking 1 daily 30mg vyvanse for the past few months but I wanted to try adderall for awhile and see which seemed better to me. My issue is... can I take another adderall, but only half of it? I've been on pain management for about six years and am having difficulty. I first noticed it with 20 mg IR tabs that my doctor replaced for 10 mg tabs, my insurance was only going to pay for so many. It wasn't three days that I realized that these weren't right. I got almost through the bottle that month in less time than I was supposed to and went back to my doctor for answers. He chastised me, sent me packin'. Then after some research like on this site, I printed the comments by fellow pain management suffers. I was on Oxy Ir 5, taken off market, then put on oxycodone capsule tan brown, now they are not avaliable, substituted 5mg QLT. do not work. are all of the capsule..even 15mg off market? what is still avaliable? ## I too was on the capsules and now my pharmacy can no longer get them and I have been switched to tablets. I am a 90% disabled veteran after 25 years of military service and took a hit in Iraq during the first phase of the ground war. I hated being on 40mg x3 per day of oxyconton, (experienced extremely rapid episodes of pure rage). I talked to my VA doctor & pain mgmt. Doc, to walking it down. I was just switched from Qualitest oxycodone 15 mg IR to Mylan 15 mg IR because my insurance won't pay for it because the cost went up on Qualitest. My question is I am concerned about the effectiveness of the Mylan oxycodone. I had good pain relief from the Qualitest green pills. I am being changed from 50mch every 48 hrs and 40 mg of hydrocodone a day to oxycodone and the doc only gave me 15 mg three times a day ir release and i am hurting bad. I have a feeling this is not even close to what i am use to. What should i do or say to my doc. I am working with the va military docs which are very strict. ## So you were on a Fentanyl patch that you changed every 48 hours and the Hydrocodone and they've now cut you down to 15mgs of Oxycodone 3 times a day? There's really no way this is going to work, you're going from a time release patch of the most potent narcotic available, down to just 45mgs a day of Oxycodone and that's not even taking the additional Hydrocodone into account.
