Recently the doctor prescribed morphine 15mg ER which was too strong and made me so incredibly sick. I've tried everything else on the marked, but those made me "deathly ill" as well. He then changed me to 15mg Morphine IR 4 times a day, and it usually always lasts about 4 hours until the burning pain in my back returns. Yesterday I only took one tab, and was fine all day, but this morning the burning pain is back with a vengence! Will I get better constant pain relief taking 4 a day whether I feel I need them or not? I simply just need a new spine, but that isn't possible of course and trying to figure out if morphine IR is cumulative in the body, and therefore I should take the 4 a day whether I feel I need it or not. Thanks! ## Yes, while they do have some immediate e...

After two years on oxycodone 10mg 4x daily withdrawal between doses was getting unbearable so doc switched me to morphine ER 15mg 2x daily with oxycodone 5 mg for breakthrough pain. I just started today. I took the pill at about noon and now it is 7pm and I feel withdrawal symptoms. I want to know if it is common for morphine ER to not last a full 12 hours as advertised. ## Hello, Liz! How are you doing? I am sorry about how you feeling? Has there been any change?
