Piperacillin/tazobactam is a combination antibiotic containing the extended-spectrum penicillin antibiotic piperacillin and the β-lactamase inhibitor tazobactam. It is commercially available as e.g. Tazocin (UK, Australia and New Zealand, marketed by Wyeth) and Zosyn (U.S., by Wyeth).
