NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS PRODUCT THAT IS MADE IN INDIA. IS THIS REAL OR A PHONY? ## Can I use azithromycin for a sore throat or throat infection? ## white oblong pill with 787 on one side and PLIVA on the other. ## Azithromycin is a real antibiotic and made by a real company. I really haven't researched it to see what country it is made in. What makes you think it is fake? What are the imprints on it..the numbers/letters, color and shape of pill or capsule. I wouldn't take it just for a sore throat. A sore throat is usually viral not bacterial; therefore, an antibiotic will not really make a difference. If you suspect you have a throat infection such as strept or something like that get to the doctot first before self medicationg. ## Mary, is your response to Torveena's. I;m ...

zertalin azitromicina 250mg for a bladder infection
1 Reply RSS
I have a bladder infection. Can I use zertalin azitromicina 250mg to cure it? If so, what dosage? ## According to Medlineplus.gov, Azitromicina (Azithromycin) is used to treat certain bacterial infections (ears, lungs, sinuses, skin, throat, and reproductive organs), including bronchitis, pneumonia and venereal diseases. I, however, did not see any information specifically stating an indication for bladder infections (or UTI's). That said, I think it would be important to consult your prescribing doctor and/or pharmacist just to be sure. It is also your prescribing doctor's duty to inform their patient about what dose to take for best results. Nevertheless, my guess is since its mechanism of action is so broad, bladder infections may not be out of the question. I hope this helps!

I have 6 pills in sealed container. I believe it's for 5 days. What is the recommended dosage? ## I want to know the dosage of AZITROMICINA. I have 6 capsules of 500 mgs. Please reply asap. thank you, kindly. ## Azithromycin is an antibiotic used to treat various types of infections. Before using it, you should see a doctor to confirm that you have an infection. If you use it and you do not, you run the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. The normal dosage is 2 tablets on the first day, then one tablet on days 2 to 5. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, skin rash and diarrhea. Azithromycin oral suspension

I want to take Azithromycin orally via the liquid suspension and wondered if I can take it over the span of a couple days and if it will still have the same effect as a full treatment regimen? ## It really depends on the severity of the infection being treated and the recommended dosage to eradicate it. The liquid works just as well as capsules, or tablets, but the dosage is the important issue. The NIH warns that this medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash,. How much do you have, what is the dosage and how much have you been told to take?

Azithromycin and Norco combination safety
1 Reply RSS
I'm on Azithromycin and need to take Norco 10/325 (only half pill) - Is this dangerous? I read something about the combination prolonging QT interval. ## I didn't find any interactions, or contraindications listed in the NIH databases, but it is always best to double check to be safe. The FDA does warn that Norco carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Have they both been prescribed for you?

zithromax = azithromycin (equivalent??)
2 Replies RSS
Zithromax (Brand) and Azithromycin (Generic Equivalent). Are they both, exact in all Ingredients, or, do they add other Ingredients in the Generic > Azithromycin ?? ## They do not have the same molecular structure on the active ingredient - Brand is a dihydrate and generic is a monohydrate - also have different inert ingredients as well - generic is made outside of US where there is little inspections related to quality control - on contaminates and greater than allowed by the FDA on residual solvents. I have take brand name about 5 times last 12 years and worked great - I took the generic and had really bad reactions - I feel as if I put poison in my system. ## Can i take this medicine together with Paracetamol tablet?
