Zoloft Vs Xanax

I think Zoloft is a junk pill & Xanax rules.

What's your opinion on the two meds?

I think that you're trying to compare two different medications that aren't comparable, at all.

Xanax contains the active ingredient Alprazolam, it is a benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness headache and irritability.

It is something that can have have an immediate effect, so it can be taken as needed, rather than on a regular basis.



Zoloft, however, is an SSRI antidepressant, these can help with conditions such as depression, anxiety, and OCD, but they do not have the immediate effect that a benzodiazepine does, they must be taken regularly in order to help and will take 4 to 6 weeks for them to reach their full level off effectiveness in the body.

Additionally, these are not habit forming and their side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes.
