My son said he took a pill friday night with his friends but doesnt know what it is. He failed his UA yesterday because he tested positive for cocaine. Is there such a pill that will do this?

My son's blood test showed positive for cocaine and he doesn't use. Can any prescription drugs cause this false positive? My son is presently taking pain pills for a viral throat infection.

Kidney issues can commonly test false positive for cocaine, usually due to the medications needed and or the metabolization processes become affected in a way that drug test results can be wrong.

Like most young people who maybe don't drink alcohol maybe instead using an ecstasy tablet one night a week in a group looking out for each other could be safer than binge drinking and some tablets could contain a small amount of cocaine.

I tested positive for cocaine. I've been clean for over four and a half years but also I take amoxicillin and keflex and other antibiotics due to my HIV to avoid me getting sick during flu season and pneumonia season and that would also give you a false positive for cocaine. I hope this helps you out.

In cases like this id say look up zydot ultra clean shampoo kit. i had not taken cocaine before and stupidly had too much to drink and i accepted a line of cocaine. it so freaked me out when i was sober it could of ruined my life i.e..job, kids, family. i studied on the net and came across a kit what cleans inside the hair shaft and to be used on the day of the test. i had a test and came back negative.

Also when your having to have a hair test like I did.I was not told if I used the same hairbrush as when I had coca in I'd be contaminating my hair again.also towel you could have or pillowcase headrest in a car if you've sat there before or someone else who has used..no so what happens your being set up to fail a false posative

I got a urine test and it was tested and came back positive for cocaine. I have not had cocaine since I was 15 and I'm 43. The doctor called me a liar and cut off the medication I do need. I am baffled and upset. I had a procedure done on my back and lidocaine was used. I am on bipolar meds. Something needs to be done. Patients should have a list of meds that could cause a positive result for drugs. So I have to suffer for something I didn't do.

The fact that he shouldn't have been using cocaine if he could lose his job and family are neither here nor there now. Rubbing that in is of no value. Pray for this person if there is no advice you could give to help him avoid total destruction, for something he can not undo. I can't stand when people just have to get their digs in when they see someone under great emotional distress. It's just pathetic and sick.

I would bleach your hair and then dye it the bleach and dye evidence of drug use on drug test.

No it doesn't. I tested positive for cocaine using it. And lost a good job. I was almost going on 3 months and I still came up negative on my hair follicle. So honestly it didn't work.
