Taking Nordette Contraceptive After Having Unprotected Sex

Good day,

I have a problem. I had unprotected sex at the exact date of my last period. So the next day i only took 2 nordette and 10 hours later i took 2 again. The next day i have spotting then it became heavy. It's like having a second period after my period! It only lasted for a week...

So my question is did it work?

I'm worried. Hope someone answer me. Thank you very much.
