Not Going Back On Any Ad
UpdatedAlright, I've finally decided I'm never going back on an AD again. I was first on Zoloft for about a year, tried a different one just cuz it was making me aggesive, forget the second one I was on but made me way too tired then went to an SSNRI effexor, was on 150mg for about 7 months, loved it, made me feel so much more in control of everything, then I decided to go up to 225mg and that's when I started noticing that my personality was changing, I didn't really feel myself, and I was more in my head than I ever have been. I was on 225 for a few months thinking it might change, but after losing a relationship with someone I had because of the way I was acting and knowing that it was because of me being in my head cuz of the pill. I cut off cold Turkey which was a horrible choice because the withdrawal was awful and my emotions were everywhere. it lasted a little over a month, and decided to try Cymbolta and give AD one more chance, 30mg for about two weeks and got to the point where I'm just done taking pills. I've been off them for almost two weeks and honestly feel so much less in my head and more in reality. I didn't realize how much I was not acting myself and I'm for sure not going back on any AD. has anyone had this experience before??

Hello, Alec! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you've had.
Antidepressants do affect some people that way, there were several that my ex-husband had similar issues with and he had to stop taking them.
Other typical side effects for most of them, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes.
Can anyone else that's experienced this chime in?
