Limictal
UpdatedI have been taking Lamictal since Jan.2007 for grand-mal seizures...it is the best medicine in treatment. My last seizure was Dec.24,2006 (I won't 4get that one.) I busted my head open-9 stiches(1st.time) I have not had any trouble w-it, sometimes I get a headache, & I get nauseated, just in the a.m. I usually eat about an hr. after I get up, & it doesn't bother me at all. I used to have mini seizures, the last one I has Christmas eve 2006 was the worst one ever. I used to take Dilantin(generic one) & close to the end of 2006 I had one in Oct & the one On the 24th. My Neurologist weened me off of Dilantin w- a children's dose-chewable, tasted bad,anyway he started me on a five week starter pack at 25mg & slowly worked my way up to 100mg,which is what I take one in the morning & one in the evening, At night sometimes I get sleepy about 20mins later unless I am doing something like now. I was diagnosed w- Epilesywhen I was about12-13 yrs of age, I 'm 32 now. It does run in families....Now that I have been on Lamictal, everthing has stopped.... I hope everyone who is able to take the medicine is as successful as I am.
