Cloanxit 2 Clonazepam

I received Rivotril ( I never heard that name used for clonazepam before) today -4/14/14). The expiration date is 5/2013 and one of the pills in the blistered pack was opened. Are they safe to use?

Dear GingerMarie, I wouldn't take them. They r expired and one is open? No way! I wouldn't take the chance. It's been almost a year that they expired. It's not safe. I would return them.

Hi Ginger,

I honestly don't think it would be a good idea to take anything that has already been opened, regardless of whether it's expired or not. If the blister packs have already been opened and/or tampered with, that should be an immediate red flag that something isn't necessarily right.

But what gets me about these pharmacies, is that they usually don't let you take back the pills after paying for them. Yet at the same time, you don't always get to see them put it in the bag before you're finished with your transaction. A very shady way of doing business in my opinion... with no real intention of making sure the customer is satisfied.

Hopefully you're able to find some sort of compensation for unknowingly paying for an expired medication. It might also be best to bring this problem to the head pharmacist's attention so it doesn't end up happening again to someone else.
