Ciprobay is an antibiotic in the Fluoroquinolone Class of antibiotics. You can see an 'Introduction to Fluoroquinolones' here and see why you should be extremely cautious about taking these drugs and be certain that your doctor is prescribing them for a confirmed infection that should be treated with the Fluoroquinolone antibiotics.

These antibiotics have many 'black box' warnings on them, and should not be taken for 'presumed' infections, and should not be the first line antibiotic for 'simple' infections such as sinus infections or urinary tract infections.
