But/apap/caf During Pregnancy
UpdatedMy daughter is pregnant. She has migraines and her doctor prescribed her but/apap/caf. Is that safe for the baby?

Hello, Sandy! How are you?
This is a medication where there's no proven risk, but nor is risk unproven. When prescribing a medication during pregnancy, the doctor has to carefully calculate whether the benefits outweigh the risks. She should make sure to only take it as prescribed and to see her doctor regularly, so they can check for any possible problems.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and insomnia.
Is there anything else I can help with?
