Hello i'm 25 year old female so here i go.... i was prescribed hydrocodone 5/325 for tooth pain about a year ago that's where it started and then i got pregnant had back pain then they prescribed me 20 to 30 hydrocodone whenever i asked.. then afterwards i had the pain killers prescribed for the pain from the birth then i had a tubal ligation done and endocet for that so the last 3 months after i had my baby i was taking about 3 and a quarter 5/235 hydrocodone and if i didn't have hydrocodone i was taking 2 and a half 5/325 endocet .. and i was taking them 3 times a day so a total of 7 and a half a day and then i thought i was invisible and i was out of them then i went through withdrawals. i didn't want to eat i could kind of sleep i was shaking and blurry vision i went for 4 days before i relapsed and i did it for a couple days so i could ween off of them but that didn't work i said f*** it! and went cold turkey again i was clean for almost nine days then i took two endocet and i felt the guilt.. anyways i take them every now and then but through the month its like once a week but i still have vision problems i never needed glasses before and i feel tremors and a little anxiety but its not to bad now. my question is will i keep shaking and keep the s***ty sight as long as i'm still taking them? should i go for a couple weeks without them? will my sight get better? they prescribed me hydroxine for anxiety and feelings of withdrawal.. i don't want to stop 100 percent. i wanna get normal help? oh i was taking Benadryl and it helped me sleep and cut the anxiety :) i have stopped taking them regularly February 1st

There is a difference in being dependent and being addicted. Your body gets use to having the medications. When the medications are stopped you go into withdrawals, but that is not the same as being addicted. If you have physical pain and require these meds to function and you stop taking them, your physical pain will increase and your ability to function will decrease.

If you want the pain meds because you like the way they make you feel and Not because they reduce physical pain and help you function, then you're addicted.

Our vision changes, it doesn't stay the same, you may want to see an Ophthalmologist so you can have your eyes checked. Our vision can also be affected by medications. These affects can be while we're taking the medications and after we stop taking them.

Hello, Meg! How are you? I'm sorry about everything you've been through.

However, to put it plain, simple and honestly, you need to work with your doctor to have medical help and support with this, you should follow their instructions and make sure to be monitored regularly.

If you were taking high doses of antihistamines, such as Benadryl and now the Hydroxyzine, then the blurry vision might be due to them. They have been known to cause it as a side effect in some people that take them, other side effects, as listed by the FDA may include drowsiness, dizziness, sedation and dry mouth.

How much are you taking, now?
