I'm thinking of switching from suboxone strips to zubsolv next month because I have no insurance. Is there anyone who's switched and liked it? ## It is the same, just under a different formulation and brand name, so it should work the same. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there a big price difference? ## I know you posted this a long time ago, but if you haven't switched, I would not recommend it. I did and it is awful. I was down to between 2 to 4 mgs of suboxone a day. My ins stopped paying for them so 3 weeks ago my doc switched me to zubsolv, telling me that it's the same even better. He said stronger and easier to get off of. I ...

i have drove all over the county of pasco and called 40 or 50 phamacys and not one has zubsolv half have not heard of it why my wifes insurance didnt leave her on subxone is a mystery to me but most likly has to do with a kick back. now she has to go with out meds for over a week now. i even called the company that makes it and they cant find it. can any one help me. i live in pasco co florida city of new port richey ## Hello, Tim! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem that you and your wife are having! Unfortunately, the pharmacies that you call likely didn't give you an honest answer. This medication does contain a potent narcotic and since they have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a legitimate patient with a need, or a potential thief, they'll usually...

I have a urine screen april 27th. How long does it take for zubsolv to get out of your system? ## I am on Suboxone and I have a prescription but I have a drug screen coming up and I took a couple Zubsolv. Will the Zubsolv show up different than the Suboxone?

i live in south east north Carolina , small mom and pop pharmacies not getting Zubsolv in my state. wallgreens and cvs get it ? it cost 80$ for 2 weeks worth with insurance .. outher pharmacies dont seem to carry it?? some did carry it but they stopped for some reason dose anyone now why this is so?? please let me know what are your experiancies ....?????? the pharm wont tell me why they stopped stocking the medicine and dont plan on getting it ? even Walmart!!! anyone know whats up?? ## Hello, Madri! How are you? I am sorry about the problem you've experienced. My best guess is that it has to do with their DEA allotments. The DEA sets certain allotted amounts of all controlled substances for each years manufacturing facilities, following that, these amounts are split further betwee...

I went to my doc in hopes of getting the new 8/2 mg or 12/3 mg because I'm on the 5.7/1.4 mg dose and have been taking more than prescribed and got shut down. She told me that because they were so strong the only way to get them was in a controlled environment, I'm guessing rehab. I honestly believe that they just haven't taken the new certification test to prescribe these stronger pills though. Advice for anyone that plans to ask for these higher doses, I've read that they won't switch you if you are on more than two 5.7/1.4 mg pills a day. Seems a little backwards but that's all the info I've gotten so far. If my docs decide to get certified to prescribe these higher dosages I'll let you know. If anyone has any more info please post. Have a great day. #...

Clinical trials were looking at the use of opiod agonists as off label anti-depressants. Since they block the release of glutimate without the more addictive opiate side effects. Also, releases more dopamine? Ketamine also being studied as well as anti-inflammatory drugs in combination with opioid agonists? I am probably mistating the complex bio-chemistry involved, but bottom line it seems like anti-depressant meds are all moving toward reducing inflammation by reducing glutamate release, (or is it the other way around) from the spinal column by binding opioid agonists to the pain receptors. Thereby also increasing dopamine release. I know several experimental drugs were in the pipeline but some fizzled out. Any ideas as to truly "new" anti-depressants for treatment resistant m...

I was taking 2-scripts for oxy and now taking Zubsolv but just ran out after 65 days. I'm miserable not as bad as withdrawal from oxy but bad enough. I've got cold chills and sweating at the same time. Horrible feeling. Did anyone on here experience this when they were finished with Zubsolv? ## Hello, Matt! How are you? Zubsolv contains a very potent narcotic, Buprenorphine, so yes, it will cause withdrawals if you suddenly stop taking it, without tapering off very slowly. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What dosage were you taking? ## Hi, I was on hydrocodone 10 mg and 100 mg nyucenta. The reason I was on those is because I have had 2 foot/ank...

If I took a zubsolv this AM can I safely take an opana tonight? ## @big a, Depending on how much you took and how frequently you take Zubsolv, it seems like most comments on here recommend waiting at least a few days before you can feel the full effects of something like Opana. This is mainly due to buprenorphine's long half-life of anywhere between 24 to 60 hours (at which point half of what you took is still working in your system). However if it was just a one time thing, I'd imagine that you probably wouldn't have to wait quite as long. Does anyone else have personal experience switching from Zubsolv to an opiate after short term use? ## I'm taking zubsolv and want to know if I can still take my fioricet for my headaches. Without bad side effects...... ## Yes you can...

I've been on methadone for a year my dose was at 110mg. I went to the clinic Monday morning and took my last 110mg dose.I have zubsolv which is equivalent to suboxone so my question is how long do I wait to take it? It's now Thursday at 630pm and I've been taking gabapentin which takes the edge off but I stI'll feel like death! Please help IDK how much longer I can do this.... ## Hello, Duda! How are you? I'm sorry that you're so miserable. You have to be in full withdrawal, before taking the Zubsolv, or it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, unless your doctor has instructed you otherwise. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may caus...

I went for a pre employment physical and a 10 panel urine drug screen. I take suboxone as prescribed by my doc. Will this show up on my screen? ## Yes...suboxone is synthetic morphine...it will show up as buprenorphine and naloxine or just morphine ## I have been taking Zubsolv for almost 2 weeks I have a urine drug screen in 7 days will I pass it if I don't take anymore? ## Suboxone, subutex, and zubsov all contain buprenorphine, a partial opiate agonist-antagonist. While it is an opioid narcotic, it DOES NOT show up in urine tests for opiates (ex. morphine, oxycodone...) A urine screen has to test for buprenorphine specifically to show up. That is how sub docs know that you are taking your subs and not using heroin or other opiates, because there are different separate tests for b...

I do not see the answers to this question. You have to be in full blown withdrawals. I wanted something to get of 40 mg of oxycodone and then the doctor told me I could have withdrawals if I took too soon so your going to be in withdrawals anyway. Im scared. What kind of drug can you take so you don't get that opioid withdrawal syndrome. Wish sounds as about as scary as withdrawals ## Tunpuli, Well no matter how you proceed you will have to experience some level of Withdrawl Before you can transition to one of these ORT medications. It is highly advisable to seek care with a trained medical provider so they Can initiate treatment at the appropriate time.Good luck in this new Phase of your life. ## @tupuli, Re: "how long after taking zubsolv can you use opiate" With all due r...

I went to the doctors today for my first visit. He knows that I used earlier today but he still told me to start my zubsolv today. He said to take it as soon as I get my script filled today. I asked him 3x about waiting 24hrs and to be in withdrawal. He told me no I don't have to wait. I also asked the nurses who work there and they told me the same thing...won't I go into PWD if I take it today???? ## Hello, Lizzy! How are you? How much of your chosen drug of choice have you been using? Yes, the Naloxone in the Zubsolv can throw you into precipitated withdrawals, if you're not already in full withdrawal, when you take it. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may ca...

My mother was prescribed to take zubsolv 1.4/.36 in halves. The doctor said it was for pain management but I've been looking around and it is only approved for addiction therapy. My mother had been completely off of opiates for a couple of months before being prescribed this medication. Oddly enough, he prescribed it in combination with cymbalta and I read that there is a risk of interaction with seratonergic drugs. All it does is make her sick and does nothing for her pain. She stopped taking it after 2 doses. She does suffer from chronic neuropathy in her leg from a blood clot surgery and has spinal degeneration as well. Am I wrong in thinking the doctor assumed she was physically addicted to opiates? ## While it does contain a potent opiate, which is Buprenorphine, along with the...

I been taking buprenorphine nalox 8mg 2mg white round tabs logo halfmoon and 155 on the other. I have always gotten them at walgreens. Just this month they stopped taking my insurance and I had to switch to CVS. I went in to fill in my script today for the first time at CVS since I have always gone to walgreens. When I went to cvs to pick them up I noticed they were different these are round orange pill with AN 415 on the front. The problem is these are not working for me hardly at all like the white ones did. And idk what to do. So I'm just wondering whether they are they same and why these orange ones aren't working for me when they white activis ones did. I think manufacture of these orange ones are zubsolv for that's what the bottle says. I'm also wondering if this m...

Hi, I just started taking zubsolv and I hardly feel any different. I have been taking opiates for years. I am not feeling horrible withdraws with subzolv but I don't feel normal, and I'm really craving a pill. However, I have been prescribed suboxone before and feel as though they work a lot better then zubsolv. Any advice/experiences/thoughts? ## What dosage does your doctor have you starting at? The goal isn't to create a high, but rather to prevent withdrawal and cravings, but your dose might not be high enough for you. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Can anyone tel...

I got put in hospital for 2 days now having bad chest pain and they have given me 4 mil moraphine and switching to 10 mil oxycondone every 4-6 hours. I heard there was only one drug that will help with pain? I've been on the zubsolve now for 9 moths. I have not taken anything since I've been in hospital except the pain meds they give me. Not sure when I'll be realesed? They just want me pain free and not sure when I'll be able to feel their meds 100% ## There is more than one medication available that will help with pain, but the Zubsolv might be blocking them from working, that's what it does to help prevent people from abusing other opiates, when they are taking it to treat drug addiction. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming a...

I take zubsolv daily. Have been for years. Recently broke a bone and was prescribed pain meds that are opiates. How long should I wait to take one for pain and it work right? Hurting so bad. ## Just take the Zubsolv and don't bother with the 5mg Oxycodone or Vicodin that they will give you for the pain. The Beup in Zubsolve is a lot stronger than what they prescribe after surgeries. I broke a bone and had to be operated on. I didn't tell them about my history so when I came to after the procedure, I was thrashing around in my hospital bed because the amount of pain I was in. The meds they gave me would suffice for a normal person and not an abuser. The Zubsolv will hepl with the pain for sure. I have had back pain for 10 years and feel fine on Zubsolv. Also if you do decide to t...

I'm on Zubsolv, 5.7 mg 2×day. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to taper off this drug? I've been on it for a year now and want to get off of it. My doc seems keeps telling me that " Well you know, your really suppose to be taking 3 ×s a day bc your parking spots aren't fully blocked." I feel like he's pushing me on this drug and to keep taking it. I'm ready to get off it now so if anyone know what does to go down to, please help. Thanks for reading! Btw, this drug did help me get off from hydrocodone. I'm a chronic pain patient in lower back. Did wonders for me but I'm ready to move on! ## Hi Robin, I think it's wise that you're staying mindful of your Dr's motives behind choosing to keep you on this medication. If you get t...

Anyone having kidney pain with this medicine. I have been in pain since they switched me from sub to this Zubsolv. Blood in urine 1-2 day. Kidney pain going on 4 day. I need advice Anyone.... ## If you're having blood in your urine, you need to speak to your doctor, so they can check it out. It may not be related to the medication, but only your doctor will be able to let you know for sure. Are you prone to kidney infections? ## It turns out that I have kidney stones in my right kidney. The new medication also made me very constipated which caused an internal hemorrhoid. I had a major bleeding issue today from the internal hemorrhoid and had to go to the ER. So the moral of the story is when taking any type of opiates make sure you take a stool softener. Not sure if the kidney stone...

I have been taking suboxone/zubsolv for the past eleven months. I was taking subs but my insurance refused to pay for them so now I am on Zubsolv 5.7/1.4 two times a day. I went to see my doctor on May 5, 2015 and got my script for 60 zubsolv. However, when I went to the pharmacy, the pharmacist told me that my doctor was no longer covered by my insurance, and I would have to pay cash. I have been buying a few at the time when I could afford them. Needless to say, I can't afford two a day so I have been taking just one a day. When I contacted my doctor, I got no answer for four days. I went to my OB/GYN for a routine exam and was told I need an outpatient surgery in four days. He gave me a prescription for Percocet (he knows I take zubsolv) for post op pain. Haven't filled it be...
