WILL FIORICET AND KLONOPIN MIXED TOGETHER SHOW UP AS AMPHETAMINE. I JUST NEED TO KNOW CAUSE I FAILED A DRUG TEST FOR THIS AFTER TAKING THEM TOGETHER.

From what I could gather, Klonopin may test positive for Benzodiazepines and Fioricet may test positive for Barbiturates, but I haven't come across any specific details stating that they can show up as Amphetamines when taken together.

However, on the cheaper, less reliable tests, it seems as though anything is possible. False positives are known to occur on them anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time.

I am aware that there is specific testing, such as that done by a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer, which has the ability to distinguish the exact substance in question. This type of testing is not initially performed because of cost, but, is often a follow-up option for those facing serious consequences such as a job loss or jail time. This may be something you want to look into or ask your doctor about.

From mom sources, I've learned any result is possible on cheap drug tests. However, I know the pharmacology and pharmacokinetics of Butalbital (the barbiturate in Fioricet and I'm a Klonopin patient myself, so it know a lot about it's pharmacokinetics. This shouldn't happen— but, as I said, any result is possible given:

1. cheap drug tests
2. clerical errors

For example, I got a call rom a pharmacist regarding a script for a drug I often prescribe, but the problem was I didn't recognize the name. Turns out ONE LETTER separated our surnames and the other guy's shrink, too. I hope all doctors would be smart enough to question this, since I don't churn out Controlled Substances scripts like "Dr. Feelgood". As we talked, I accessed my super-protected "cloud" vault and pulled up that patient's records. Result was that no such pt was found in MY or my PARTNER'S PATIENT LISTS [we cover for each other when away]; is legal, and even is encouraged since my partners have access to all but especially encrypted doctor's notes — and I don't think any of us has utilized this feature.) Oh, yeah, our program allows for spelling errors and variations. I make MAD typos when I'm in a hurry!

They need to send it to a lab that is the most common thing that those test mess up on i gave positives for that before and they made me piss again and it was negative those tests are not 100% right all the time that's why probation sends it to the lab when you piss positive to make shore.
