White Pill (approx 8mm X 1.5mm) With G On One Side And Zo 5 The Other

My father was given this in place of Warfarin - his blood levels are critical now... WHAT IS THIS THING?! I have no current CPS, but I need to identify this tablet. Shame on the pharmacy!!

The tablet with those markings contains 5mgs of Zopiclone, which is used for the short term treatment on insomnia.

If they put this in a bottle claiming it was Warfarin, I'd be seriously taking this issue up with the pharmacy, immediately.

He's ok. So far so good. His levels should be between 2 and 3... he was down at 1.1. Not a good thing... he could have stroked out for heavens sake. I recently spoke with the Pharmacist.. he feels just terrible, and is writing to Dad's specialist wrt the mixup. He told me it was zopiclone... I guess a little r&r is ok... but the lack of warfarin is not.
Thanks for the help... this was pretty scary. :(

I was recently in hospital as an emergency with AF, the cardiologist changed some of my tablets and I am now on Warfarin, Amiodarone, bisopralol, among other medication for angina. After coming home, 1 week ago I became poorly with a UTI so am on a 3 day course of anti biotics Trimethoprim, tomorrow is the last day. I could do with a good nights, uninterrupted sleep so will it be ok to take 3.75mg of zopiclone.
