There are various reasons why it may not show up.
Have you increased your fluid intake or activity levels recently?
How long before the test did you take your last dosage?
Have you had diarrhea? Or been ill?

Going through the same problem, on therapeutic dose for over 10 years. Our state (KY) is requiring mandatory DT, under House Bill 1 to offset the "illegal" substance abusers. But it's affecting legitimate patient compliant tests. From what I've learned, from the benzos, clonzepam is one drug that returns false negatives to a high degree. Doctors just send to labs, labs use basic testing, for clonazepam, only 2 percent is excreted in urine, at therapeutic dosages over an extended period of time for those who have chronic anxiety, etc. you will test negative. Your testing must indicate you have the parent drug in your system, 7 amino-clonazepam metabolite. Problem is in "generic" testing only glucuronide metabolites will show up and not the parent drug, resulting in false negative testing. (1) source Manual of Forensic Emergency Medicine page 42 . Secondly the most important is the type of testing, GCMS results in many false negatives, and multitudes of the 10 panels, the most reliable is the this one "Will an immunoassay screen (with benzodiazepine) detect clonazepam (Klonopin)?
Not usually. Most benzodiazepine immunoassays do not detect therapeutic concentrations of clonazepam or its common metabolite, 7-amino clonazepam. Quantitation by LC-MS/MS is the best methodology at ARUP for detection of clonazepam compliance. LC-MS/MS benzodiazepine panel (urine 0090358, serum/plasma 0093300), or clonazepam (serum/plasma 0090055)."
