Sintrom & Alcohol

I am a 64 year old male living in Spain & have been taking Sintrom on its own for about a week. I was previously taking 150mg of Heparin by injection daily + varing amounts of Sintrom. Whilst I understand and fully appreciate what the Dr.'s are doing for me,they say just 1 beer a day is permitable, that could present a problem when the temperature's touch the mid thirties, so what exactly is the effect of alcohol with Sintrom?

Sintrom contains the active ingredient Warfarin, it is a blood thinner.

They reason they warn against using this with alcohol is because alcohol also acts as a blood thinner, so it can severely increase your risk of bleeding.

In addition, excessive amounts of alcohol can also be cardiotoxic.

Regardless of the temperature, alcohol is not something you need to cool off, there are plenty of other non-alcoholic beverages that you can enjoy that will help you stay cool and hydrated.
