Quit On Day 1

I stopped smoking on Day 1, skipping the smoke during the first week cycle. I am just curious if this going to decrease the effectiveness of the medicine? I was actually ok with not smoking the first 4 days but the craving today is a bit strong. Any help would be appreciated

No, it won't have any harmful effect on the effectiveness of the Chantix.

It does work extremely well for some people and they end up quitting almost instantly.

Has your doctor given you any advice on how to handle the cravings?

The craving will get much worse before they get better. Be prepared for that mentally and you will succeed. I quit smoking 2 weeks before starting on the chantix. I was having major trouble with withdrawal and my Dr. prescribed me the chantix. I Have been smoke free for over 5 years now. Hang in there. Mind over nicotine.
