New To Fort Myers

I'm new to Fort Myers and live in Cape Coral. My old doc gave me norco 10/325 for sciatica and .25 Xanax for anxiety. I don't have insurance yet and I need to find a doc who takes cash or Medicaid and is understanding. I will travel if need be.

Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see specialists. So, you're most likely going to have to establish a relationship with a new PCP and then have them refer you to someone else.

Both of these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, irritability and headache.

The days of an understanding doctor that you can just walk into and have write a prescription are over.

Does anyone know of a good doctor in that area?

Thank you for your response and the information. It has been rough finding someone being new in town. I've been on them for so long it's been difficult living with the pain and anxiety. I am willing to find a pcp and use a specialist, but who should I use as a pcp that would refer me? It's such a hard process when moving to a new home. I had family here when I moved here but she decided to move home a month after I got here. This has not been my ideal "moving to Florida" situation. The pain is making everything worse.
