Losartan And Dementia Type Symptoms

My mom is 81. She has been taking Losartan for about a year. I have lived with her the past months and am noticing a great increase in her memory and confusion. She can drive, balance her check book and pay her bills on time, but her short term memory is very poor. Has anyone else stopped taking Losartan because their dr felt it was causing these types of symptoms?

No, Losartan has not been known to cause those types of symptoms.

She is in her 80's and it can be normal for such changes to take place as part of the natural aging process.

Is she on any other medications? Has she consulted her doctor?
