Indecisive

Updated

I just moved to south Florida and found a doctor, but I'm worried about spending the money on visit and mri's if I'm unable to get my script filled. Can anyone let me know the pharmacy laws that way I don't waist my money for nothing.

Regardless of getting prescriptions filled, if you haven't had any such tests for awhile, then almost any doctor you see is going to require you to get them.

Thus, the money would not be wasted, as even if you have to switch doctors again, the tests would still be valid for awhile. Just get your own copies of the results, make sure they're dated and you can make certain that they are present to any doctor you visit.

It's hard to say on the medications, since you actually haven't been prescribed anything yet.

However, as to the laws, any prescribing doctor should be familiar with them and should be able to make sure that any prescription you may receive is written properly.

Does anyone else have any suggestions to add?
