Iv/antibiotics
UpdatedSix days ago I had hip replacement surgery. I was given three bags of antibiotics by IV. How long does it remain in my body before being excreted?

Hello, Joan! How are you? I hope you're doing well after your surgery and recovering.
It depends on which antibiotic you received. Do you happen to know?
Please note that large bags of liquid would not be an antibiotic, that would be a separate small bag.
The FDA lists the typical antibiotic side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
