How Long Does 60 Mg Of Valium Last In System?

I took 60 mg of Valium 3 days ago. Does anyone know how long until I'll be able to give a clean urine sample? I weigh 140 lbs with fast metabolism.

Valium is one of the most slowly eliminated benzodiazepenes. It has a half life (half of your dose) of up to 200 hours which means that the blood level for each dose falls by only one half in about 8.3 days.

Yes, but this person was asking about a urine sample, not a blood test.

Most medications are detectable far longer in blood, tissue or hair samples than they are in urine.

That said, after 3+ days, yes, your urine should be clean.

Valium contains the active ingredient Diazepam and it is a potent Benzodiazepine.

That said, I think the operative question here is why you took such a dangerously high amount?

At those levels, you run the risk of overdosing. This could cause organ damage or even be fatal.

I've taken Valium for the last 6-8 months for anxiety. I was prescribed 10mg twice a day, but I never took them twice a day. I might have taken them once a day (usually at night) 3 to 4 times per week. Well the last dose of Valium I had was on 3/21/2010, and I'm still testing positive on a urine drug test for this medication (well of course on the test it shows up as a benzodiazepine). I weigh between 190-205 pounds and I don't have a high metabolism. My question is how long will this continue to show up in my system? And what can I do to get this out of my system? Is there something I can take over the counter that will help? Please if anyone has any answers please help me. Thanks

up to 30 days so count the last time you took them and count 30 days I took Valium about 15 of them in one monthand they were still in my system a month-and-a-half later

Valium usually takes at least 2 to 3 weeks to come out of your system for a urine test depends on how long you been taking it and how much you took if you don't take them on a regular basis and you took it one time and it was a lot then you can get it out and seven days but do not believe the hype it will not be out of your system with just drinking water in 24 48 or 72 hours
