Great Antidepressant- Pristiq 100

Why not covered in Medicare and disability. It's the only antidepressant that really worked for me but after going on Medicare almost impossible to get.

Yes. It works great but it is so high even with my fed bobs ins that I can't even take it. It sucks

From an outsider, it's difficult to determine specifically "why" certain insurance companies don't provide coverage for certain medications. However I can only speculate that in some way shape or form they probably don't receive enough benefit or profit from doing so, otherwise it would be listed on the drug formulary. As unfortunate as this sounds, greed is the nature of many insurance companies. I've seen a number of documentaries surrounding medical insurance agencies and how they make their decisions based on factors that only benefit the company and not the patient.

The only alternative in my opinion is to utilize various drug coupons such as the one MedsChat offers here: Rx Savings Card

While it's not intended to act as a replacement for insurance, a pharmacy coupon like this one could potentially save you anywhere from 15-75% off the cost of your prescription. So I'd say it's definitely worth trying as a last resort.
