Generic Synthroid Makes Me Sick

I am taking .025 mg generic Synthroid to help my depression meds work better. I am supposed to take it on an empty stomach before breakfast but it makes me sick.
I am considering taking it on a full stomach after supper.

Any ideas on this?

Hi David,

I completely understand what you're going through, I've dealt with this issue many times before. If you aren't comfortable with how this medication is making you feel, I would just speak with your doctor about switching to something different.

If I can recommend anything else, it would be the essential oil peppermint. I suggest consuming the peppermint with honey or you can add a couple drops to a glass of water. You can also dilute it with coconut oil or olive oil and rub it on your stomach. I find that the aroma of peppermint helps me with nausea and upset stomach the most. A couple trustworthy brands that carry peppermint oil are Doterra and Young Living. You should also be able to find peppermint essential oil at most health food stores.

I do hope this remedy will give you some relief until you can speak with your doctor. Please post back if you have any more questions.

I am taking the Synthroid to boost the effectiveness of my depression meds so I need to stick with it if I can.
Right now I am sick with a virus and I feel so bad I am not taking the Synthroid at all. When I feel better I willtry it after supper and see what happens
