Extreme Mood Swings From Chantix

Do not take this drug if you have mental disorders. This drug caused me to have extreme mood swings. Even to the point I felt suicidal. Never had moods swings that caused me to be up and down several times a day. Please ask you mental health care doctors and nurses before taking this drug.

Doctor OZ said that most people that smoke probably suffer from depression or anxiety. He suggested an anti-depressant along with the Chantix.

Chantix is a dangerous drug. The FDA is conducting a second study on it. It can cause severe depression in 3 to 5 days in some people. Suicidal thoughts, feelings of hopelessness. Stop taking if you feel any of these symptoms. My Dr. knew I had depression after 2 weeks taking this drug. His Response: Sometimes this happens. I He told me he has stock in that Drug Company, so, He's looking to make a buck. Meanwhile I took it for 5 weeks, got so depressed, ended up in the hospital for depression. Went through hell on the meds the Psychiatrist put me on. After 2 months I stopped taking all medicines. Am clean now and feel good. I do take Sam-e to help elevate my mood. works for me. Sold over the counter where vitamins are sold.
