Dr In Indianapois For Xanax

Looking for a doctor in Indianapois that works with anxiety disorders and ptsd. now on Xanax by regular MD 1 mg 5x's a day not cutting it.

Personally, I think if you suffer from anxiety and need a Benzodiazepine class medication (like Xanax), usually your best bet is to see a psychiatrist, rather than a regular medical doctor. Reason being is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and can also help you treat the underlying cause of your anxiety, as opposed to just covering up the feelings and emotions with medication.

Have you tried using any sort of natural treatment options?

I do currenty take 1mg 1-2x's a day of Xanax. No more than 5 a day. It is not enough to help. I was seeing a psychiatrist about 10 years ago but he moved to Louisville. I have had nothing but a problem finding a new one. That is why I am looking for one that does speciality in PTSD and anxiety disorders. A lot of psychiatrist now, will not give Xanax for anxiety due to it causing you to build a tolerance in your system.

Last mounth I had the same problem so I called my brother inlaw and he reffered them to me.Its about the best help I can offer good luck

I was trying to see if I could help you locate a new psychiatrist in your area, but I'm having trouble determining exactly what their specialty is. I found list of them in Louiseville, but you may have to call each one and ask them individually if they specialize in both PTSD and anxiety. I would think that these fields should be typical of every psychiatrist, no?

Thank you for caring and trying. I am in Indianapolis. I have went from one doctor to the other. Unless they specialize in PTSD or anxiety, I am ready to stop looking.
