Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 189)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

I'm seeing Polanco tomorrow. Are you sure he won't prescribe any pain meds?

Jazmin. Im seing Dr. B....Hes the Best ive ever encountered. Hes double certified so he not only gets you're pain he also understands the anxiety that comes with it. I haven't felt this good in years...... Good luck hun. Let me know how it went. :-)

Thanks Karina, I just noticed there's 2 Dr B's- is he the older white guy? I appreciate your responses so much. I cannot even describe the anxiety I've had over this. I know you can relate & it means a lot to just hear that there's hope and you're willing to share and help. For like 2 weeks straight I literally believed I was going to die because of the hopelessness and fear. It wasn't even just meds (I ran out early before) but being so alone and depressed I couldn't stand the thought of one more cold, arrogant doctor telling me "just push yourself or deal with it". It basically sends the message your suffering and life is irrelevant. I've had a lot of trauma in my life and already fight the "you're nothing, you're just weak and lazy..." crap in my head. Through a ton of counseling, meditation & introspection I realized none of that is true but after years of pain and isolation I sometimes just want to give up. I believe I can have a good life and I'm willing to do whatever it takes but I need to be able to function at some level to reverse the downward spiral. Thanks for 'listening', I'll keep posting :)

Hi J, Its not you hun, its me. My concentration isn't up to par lately. But.. I was referring to another Dr off Belleview ave in DTC. Dr. H on Potomac is also very good. I know someone who had good experience with him. Im with another Dr. Off Belleview ave. Ive been on methadone since I was 17yrs old so I needed someone who could help with my pain anxiety all at once and he did. Ive never felt this good. My concentration isn't as sharp as id like but ive come along way since ive seen him. I wish there was a way to communicate other than this. Any idea's"?. Let me know if anything helps. Take care. Hey I'm Sheri, how r u? I need help to find a doctor. I have 4 screws in left shoulder, 2 in the right one and 18 in my hip. I was hit by a semi truck in September and just moved here and I have to pay out of my pocket to see a doctor. I have no insurance. {edited for privacy}

Sherri you can go to Wheatridge clinic its called CPR its 250 to start 180 per month after .

Please need a doc have conic back issues need oxicodone rx not lookin for a high just to exist need 10 mg 4x's daily sometimes 5 not always please please have mri's & xray all to back it up just need a doc to help me

Hi Karina, I survived my first pm appointment. It certainly wasn't what I hoped for in terms of real caring or listening but it wasn't as horrible as I feared. I'll try to find a great doc as soon as meds are under control. Hope you're taking good care of yourself :)

I just became insured through Cigna. Does anyone know of any doctors in the metro Denver area who are in network with Cigna and can be both my primary care physician and prescribe pain medication on a regular basis?

Lucy you can go to this clinic for help metro community provider network they will see u .Just dont have Mj in system .

Doctors willing to prescribe strong pain medication such as Oxy 30 mg. in or near Charlotte, NC

I have herniated discs in my back. I deal with chronic pain. Been prescribed 30 mg. Oxy but the Dr. cut out writing the stronger pain meds for everyone. Most Dr's are scared of Oxy 30's but some may write the 15's but low quantities. They are afraid of ppl selling it. It is messed up. Anyone that can help or recommend a good pain Dr. not afraid to write out strong pain meds, who listens & cares about their patients, please share. Also, I need a Dr. not afraid to write out anxiety medication like Ativan or Xanax, Not antidepressants. Please share on this post. Thank you!

Hi Sherry did u call them ?There is a new DEA law on meds .Reg doctors will not be able to perscribe pain meds .There for you will have to go to pain clinics and pay out of pocket .

I keep hearing this, but only from this group. My REGULAR P.C.P. has never heard such "nonsense" as she called it.
Could you provide the number of the specific law you are referring to? All government rules, statutes and laws have specific identification numbers.
