Did They Stop Making The Roxane 54 411 Buprenorphine? (Page 3) (Top voted first)

I have been getting the generic Subutex Roxane brand 54 411 Buprenorphine tablets for months now from Walmart pharmacy and the past two times I've gotten my prescription filled there, I was given a different generic made by Hi Tech with an 8 and an arrow. I asked them why the change because those little tablets just are not the same and they said the Roxane ones could not be ordered. I called around to other pharmacies I have gotten my prescription filled at before also and was also told that the Mylan M 924s can no longer be ordered either. What's going on with the Roxane and Mylan Buprenorphine tablets? Did they stop making them or is there some kind of shortage? I had the choice of getting the small Hi Tech tablets which seem alot less potent than the Roxane or the Actavis 153 half moon orange tablets which I cannot stand at all. Has anyone else had a problem getting the Roxanes or the Mylans or know for sure what's happening? I did see that Roxane merged with West Ward but don't know if that has anything to do with it or when the merge occurred and the 54 411 tablets are still listed on the West Ward site as a medication they manufacturer. I've heard everything from they are not making either of the brands anymore to there is just a temporary shortage of the brands.

peach are imprinted with half moon 153 made by activas. the ones u had are made by hi tech owned by akron pharma. which hi-tech makes good meds not sure y lot of people dont like their bup. IV users tend to like hi tech bup. the rhodes are very potent take accordingly. they r imprinted rp b8 and owned by purdue pharma. they r indentical to brand and possibly stronger

Hi, I'm prescribed 8mg x 3 day..the Rhodes do not make me sleepy at all..out of all the generics I like Rhodes the best..I actually get motaviation from them and they are most definitely stronger than others on the market..I only other one I will accept is hikma brand .so the only reason I would get hikma brand IS IF my normal pharmacy didn't get there shipments and it's time for a refill

thank you for the info. The only ones I can get at the moment say M924 on them. The akron ones are available too but they aren’t horrible. This is scary since I been on these for many years!

As a patient, you are legally able to get whichever generic manufacturer you want and is available through Pharmacy wholesalers such as Cardinal and McKesson, AmerisourceBergen, Etc... You just need to talk to a pharmacist who cares and is willing to order in the generic you need and tell them if it cost them more money to order it in you will pay the difference. Order rhodes, they are flooded all around pharmacies and if not they certainly can be ordered by any one of the wholesalers. So go to a pharmacy or call them and inform them you have a constant prescription for buprenorphine which will be constant business for them at a high quality and you are wanting them to take on your prescription if they're willing to order the generic you need.

Is the United States patient you are legally able to get whichever generic made buprenorphine hydrochloride tablet that you need. If the pharmacy refuses to order it for you inform them you will pay the difference of what it cost for them to order it for you it should not be that much. Just call the nearest pharmacy that's not a CVS Walgreens or Walmart and if asked them if they dispense the preferred generic you want and if they don't ask them if they were order your preferred generic in and tell them that it is a constant prescription and they will certainly be making business then tell them which generic you want sometimes it's easier for them if you provide the NDC number to them as well

Rhodes pharmaceutical brand name buprenorphine hydrochloride tablets are everywhere and are listed under every pharmaceutical wholesaler so your Pharmacy can get them. Trust me, it's a matter of the conversation you have with them on ordering it in for you but legally they can and they should. If you need help, inform me of your location and I will see which nearest pharmacy around you can do that for you and will do that for you if they don't already dispense it, but I will say that the roads 2mg tablets are much harder to have ordered in so hopefully you have the 8mg.

They r listed under all major pharma comps. that send to retail pharmas. Just stay away from big chain pharmas (i.e. walgreens, cvs, etc.). Better luck with mom n pops pharmas and inform them it is a constant rx so it will be worth their time n get em their flow.

Yes, the M 924 are mylan which are hard for lots of people to find these days and a lot are searching for mylan pharma M 924s. They are as good as the himka 54 411s but the rhodes are double the strength of any and double potency and last at least twice as long. A half is even enough. A full one 8mg rp b8 tablet when taken is quite strong and if u dont have a body that has a strong tolerance, a full 8mg rp b8 rhodes tab can put u on your butt quick and make you sleepy as buprenorphine. But mylan is good and better than Hi-Tech quality buprenorphine surprisingly because normally Hi-Tech is quality and makes amazing medications where Mylan Pharmaceuticals is usually quite the opposite except for their buprenorphine hydrochloride.

I agree with you Charlene that's certainly true for me as well they give me motivation a lot and definitely help me get out of bed when I suffer from a closing Spondylitis which can be very hard near impossible sometimes. I will never feel with the Himka generic again but that is just me and I can assure everybody that there is a pharmacy around you that will always have the roach generic I'm prescribed a 8mg four times a day for pain. trust me they all over and they r hrand name and within a year everyome will concur that they're the best strongest and most quality made deep enough and hydrochloride tablets ever made on the market yet. It is strange though because everybody's tolerance can be different to chemicals for example my tolerance to all types of drugs is very high even if I haven't tried the drug before whereas my wife's tolerance is very low to all types of drugs even if she has tried them before so some people just have weak tolerances to all drug types and some people have strong tolerance is to all drug types going along with the one size does not fit all and also going along with the fact that some people could weigh the same be the same height and need a much higher dose of a medication compared to a person that is the same way and I as them as well who maybe even has a tolerance to them everybody's body tolerance drugs is different

So Charlene when I see people saying that the roads Pharma makes them sleepy it is just simply because they're very potent to their body type of tolerance to drugs and they probably should just be taken half and saving the others.

Thanks so much for answering all my questions. I’ve been taking the Roxanne brand for 5 years now, and I’m scared to switch over, but I have to since they won’t be making them anymore. I’m in a small town in Oregon in the coast. (Tillamook) I used to drive almost 2 hours to get them at Walmart because there are no Walmart’s near me. We have Fred Meyer and Safeway. The Walmart that I was going to before switched to the M ones. I don’t think I i have access to Rhodes. My only other options would be the crappy high tech ones! Thanks again, I won’t have to switch until next month. Hopefully it wont be so bad! It’s scary that people have to go through this type of stuff when they are just trying to live a better life!!!!!! Wow I’m in Oregon and all of the Walmart’s are telling me the same thing (they’re on backorder) I managed to get my prescription yesterday but I will most likely have to switch next month. Everyone tells me that all the genetics are the same, but they definitely affect me differently. The little white ones had no affect on me whatsoever, I was even experiencing withdrawals! This is scary :(

Jay, you are so right about the little Hi-Tech ones and people abusing them. I live in Buffalo NY and have a lot of friends who are all in recovery and have been on Subutex for the last few years. I know maybe ten people including myself who all have always taken the 54s. Then there's maybe 2 or 3 we know who would always specifically request the Hi-Tech ones because they abuse them, apparently it's like pure Subutex with no filler, where the 54s are like 3/4 chalk and cut. Anyone I know that's taking their subs as prescribed, sublingually, have all said the same thing- that these tiny ones SUCK and you start feeling slight withdrawals after taking them a few days, then really really s***ty after taking them for a week or two. I could not believe after being clean for 4 years that I was waking up in withdrawals last month.

I found this old post probably the same way you all did- typing into Google why can't I get my Roxanne labs Subutex anymore. The rite aid I've used for 4 years filled my script the last 2 months with the Hi-Tech, without even calling me before doing it, when it specifically says in my rite aid prescription profile to NOT fill by Hi-Tech no matter what, I've been going there for years they all KNOW there that I can't take these garbage things, my doctor has specifically sent them faxes for them to keep in their files that I can only take the Roxanne or mylan ones. Their excuse was "well it's the only ones available, anywhere, right now so you don't have a choice, we can't even order them anymore" that's what my pharmacist told me last month at my regular rite aid, so how did I get them filled at another rite aid 8 miles away this morning with Roxanne? They did tell me this morning that at their location they do have more ordered, but they are in backorder and have been for weeks without receiving any new deliveries or any idea of when they will actually come in. My usual rite aids head pharmacist who I've been dealing with for years told me last month that they're not making them anymore, that I have no choice. But this other rite aid location, that I've never used before, tells me this morning that it's not true, they're just on backorder. So I don't know who to believe, all I know is I'm praying to God they get some Roxanne's, or mylans, or something ANYTHING besides these hi-tech's or orange activas or whatever they are called, those are just as bad. It just infuriates me that the pharmacists are acting like I'm so ridiculous asking for the 54s, like I'm abusing them or something, when it's 100% the people who order the hi-tech's who are the abusers, they've got it so backwards it gets me so mad.

I found out the “Akorn“ are the small ones and just the same as hi-tech. I hate the hi-tech, they are garbage, the absolute worst! There is a huge shortage of the 54 411s, it’s so frustrating. I can NOT take the small ones, they are useless!!!! Are they on backorder everywhere?

So the Hikma ones are garbage too? The last prescription I got said Roxanne on it, but now those are on backorder as well as the Rhodes. I don’t understand how Roxane is still available if they were bought out. Many pharmacies in my area only have hikma or the stupid activas ones. I can’t wait to get off this

If you had a bottle that said Roxanne on them, they must have been very old. Because Roxanne has not been available for a very, long time. The only 6 generics available can be found by Google under BTODREMS. Here you can find all generics for buprenorphine/or buprenorphine with naloxone. This page is for reference for us. Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, for only buprenorphine products are...Actavis Elizabeth... Hi-tech... Hikma... Rhodes,..and sun pharmaceuticals..you will also notice that each product has more buprenorphine than others. Like some say 8.64 equivalent to 8mg, and some say just 8mg... so if I'm paying good money for mine obviously I want more in mine, so I always choose the best which is Rhodes but that's been on backorder for months now so the only other one I will accept is hikma brand. They are both very good. When we were able to buy Roxanne they were the best generic, but then westward bought them out,..they changed their ingredients and they became chalky and dull with chips, now hikma bought them out and I have noticed the pills are nice and shiny,..no chips and just as beautiful as the Rhodes pills look...

Yes, where I live Atlanta GA. Walmart really suxs. I probably had a discrimination suit. Screw that. I just wanted my bupe. Everything was cool at first. Then Walmart made up their own policies. It's taken awhile I had to shop around all over. I finally found a very nice pharmacist @CVS only 12 mls.away They order Hikma each month and treat me like anyone else. Im respectful of them in return. So far it's good. But you never know and that's bulls***! Stick with chain pharmacies if possible. Hikma has become extremely expensive. I detest these companies that take advantage of us. God bless.

I’ve taken Roxanne 8mgs, twice a day for years, I’ve only tried the little 8 with the arrow with looked like a roxi. And worked like one , so I stopped getting em and did then sublingual. Roxanne has stopped me from using any other somewhat opiate for 9 years.

Hi I get ge the 54 411 so they most not want to oder any more. But if u go to private pharmacy they have them because the 8 arrow did not work for me at all. The 54 411 seems to help . I'm in ocala Flo. I don't know what state u are in but just ask ur private pharmacy.
