Clindamycin 150mg Treatment Duration
UpdatedHi. My doctor prescribed me a one-month course of clindamycin 150mg for a tooth infection and I took it for 10 days. My pain went away. Is it okay if I stop taking the med or do I have to finish the course?

Hello, Ling! How are you?
You should always finish the full course of treatment, as direct by your doctor, unless they instruct otherwise. Stopping early creates the risk of your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
Is there anything else I can help with?
