I am taking the antibiotic Zocef CV 500. One tablet after dinner for the last 10 days for the treatment of Fistula. Does it have any side effects? I took this med for 5 days, Saturday to Wednesday and developed an allergic reaction. I had a lump in my throat when i swallowed and could not speak. I went to the ER and they said i had laryngitis and gave me a steroid shot of decodran. Early the next morning my tongue swelled up, I got very itchy and developed hives/welts. I went to an urgent care and got another shot of decodran but within a half hr of getting that my face swelled up and i got very flush. How long does this remain in your body for?

I have taken cefuroxime axetil 250mg to treat my UTI. After 1 day I take that pills (2 pills per day), I have blood spit when I take shower. does anyone know if you can drink alcohol while taking cefuroxime? ## The reason you are warned not to drink while taking Cefuroxime is because it can aggravate the side effects. It could cause them to be more severe, you may get bad bouts of nausea, drowsiness and dizziness. If you drink a lot and/or you are driving, this can cause a severe and dangerous problem. Found pills with lupin on one side and 303 on the other side. Following breast cancer, severe infection @ mastectomy site, 3 celulitis infectiions, all within 11 months, my Infectious Disease doctor prescribed 500mg tab of Cefuroxime. Have been taking this for 10 years. Is this ok? This was after heavy duty IV antibiotics in hospital & @ home. I haven't had any kind of infection since then. My son is 9years old and weights 52kgs.Hes got tonsilis now for the 5 th time in two years. He's now on cefuroxime axetil 500mg to be taken every 12 hrs for five days. is it ok to take celestamine to counter red patch rashes on my arm and legs while taking cefuroxime? the first time i took cefuroxime i didn't feel anything except for the feeling of being nauseated. pls help me. i got worried of my red patches and rashes. one thing I've noticed every time my husband makes love with me is that i always get these red patched rashes. i dont know if it is just simply an allergy to water, to him or maybe co-exist also with cefuroxime. but its my 4th day of taking cefuroxime for the treatmnt of pneumonitis due to pneumonia. can u pls help me with my problem??

I am 35yrs old ,I have a swelling in my neck it looks like goiter . It has been there for about 4months increasing and very painful ,I have been seen by doctors , both private and government hospitals , X rays of both my neck and right shoulder was done , but none of the doctors could tell me what the diagnosis is two days a go it started to drain pus and I was ordered cefuroxime 500mg twice per day , flagyl 500mg 3times per day and ordered to do scan for my neck . My daughter has been prescribed Cefuroxime 500 for an infection and has only taken it for 1 day (2 doses) Last night the baby breastfed at 11:00 pm then went to sleep and did not wake up until 12:00 PM (13 hours and no food) He is only 3 WEEKS old! Even with her sitting him up, rubbing his back , changing his diaper using a cold diaper wipe, which he hates, she still had a hard time waking him. He finally woke up long enough to breastfeed.
