Can't afford to buy Cartia XT. I will be on meds for approximately 3 weeks before being able to purchase it again. What kind of problems could I end up having? I've been taking this medication since 2012 daily. ## Hello, Buck! How are you? It could be dangerous, stopping suddenly and not replacing it with anything may result in rebound high blood pressure and elevated heart rate, which could lead to heart attack, stroke or heart failure, as reported by the FDA. It would be better to contact your doctor and ask them if they can prescribe a cheaper alternative that you can take for a few weeks, or switch to permanently. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I take Cartia XT 120mgs, but after breakfast my blood pressure drops, so I have to stop taking the medication, but I fee...

I have been taking Cartia XT for 3 months now. I want to go off of it completely now, but don't know how? Originally, I was told to take it for 90 days. ## What condition was being treated? This medication is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. If you have such a condition, it may not be safe for you to stop taking it. ## Are you off cartia now? I'll be getting off mine too. I also take effexor as well. What are your side effects

What prescription drug can replace Norvasc and Cartia with low incidence of side effects. I already take Lisiniprol and Atenolol. ## Dr. just replaced novasc & lipitor with cadulet 10mg/20mg. He said this one pill will work better than those two pills. I'm also trying to find out side effects. ## Caduet is a combination medication that contains Amlodipine, which is used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions, with Atorvastatin, which is used to help lower cholesterol. Learn more Caduet details here. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches. Halleluah! has it, switched back 6/22/10 with exactly the same mfg, Andrax from the year before. Good Luck All, I completely sympathize with you! ## Thank you for posting this information on the availability of this medication. It will be helpful to many that need it.
