original perscription for Cardizem 1st generic given diltiazem er 240mg cap last refilled with diltiaz cd 249/24 is this all the same med? ## Yes, they are all the same medication, 240mgs of Diltiazem in a controlled release formulation that's meant to be taken every 24 hours, they are just manufactured by different companies. Even the abbreviations mean the same thing, though they look different. The ER stands for extended release and the CD is for controlled dosage, but both designate that it is a time released formulation of the medication. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've have been prescribed Cardizem CD 240 mg once a day for BP - the generic name is (Diltiazem CD). I was taking metroprolol 50 mg twice a day for about 18 months and was experiencing hair loss so the doctor moved me to Cardizem CD. Has anyone experienced hair loss while taking Cadizem CD? ## I haven't taken the medication, so I have no personal experience with it, but hair loss can still be a side effect of the Diltiazem, though it is not known to be a very common one. How severe was the hair loss?

This is a white pill with 71 73 on one side and 9 3 on the other The two pair of numbers are separated by a score mark on each side. I have them in my Cardizem bottle, but I don't think they are cardizem and I can't remember what I put in the bottle. Can you help ## I think you have a 150 mg Nefazodone, although the color of the pill should be off-white / pinkish. You can verify with a picture Here. ## I posted this and then talked to my pharmacist who said the pills are my 20mg Fosinopril (generic for Monopril). I still don't know how I put them in my Cardizem bottle, but they also are a blood pressure medicine.

Yes, Diltiazem is the same thing as Cardizem, it is just the generic version.
