Can Bactrim Help Swollen Glands

My glands are swollen can bactrim DS 800 160 Tab help me till I have time to go see the doctor.

Bactrim is an antibiotic that can help treat many types of infections, so if the swollen glands are due to an infection, it may help, but you could also run into the issue of not having enough to fully eradicate the infection, if these are left overs from some other infection.

Additionally, swollen glands can also be caused by some viruses and, if that's what has caused them to be swollen, then an antibiotic will not be effective.

I started out with an ulcer on the back left of my tongue about two days ago then a few hours later I noticed the same side of my throat was beginning to be sore. This morning I woke up with my left neck swollen. It's now swollen further up my face and causing ear pain.
