I went to the urgent care Memorial Day for what I thought was a simple UTI. The on duty doctor put me in Bactrim DS for 5 days. On day 3.5 my symptoms weren't any better and I went to my PCP. He suggested I stop the Bactrim DS and gave me an rx for Cipro. Its been 2 days and I can't sleep and after reading these posts I'm assuming it's from the Bactrim still lingering in my system. I even took a half an ambien to try to sleep and that hasn't helped! Any suggestions?

I'm prescribed Bactrim and I drink one coke a day. I also have one cup of coffee. Is it ok to have this with Bactrim?

Why would you stay on anything that made you feel this way? It is way more dangerous to ignore your body's reaction to it. I would stop it ASAP and call my Doctor for an alternative.
