Broken Sternum Pain
UpdatedI was involved in (MVA) Motor Vehicle Accident the year 2012. I was a passenger seated behind the passenger's seat. A big vehicle hit on ours from the left hand side where I was seated. Our vehicle rolled, the wheels were facing up - roof on the ground. I got out of the vehicle last as after people were calling my name for several times to get out of the vehicle. They were scared and thinking that the vehicle might get burned. I knew that I was in MVA and I must get out quickly but I didn't. Eventually I got out of the vehicle/car and pains were hitting very hard on my chest and back of the head. One hand was on my chest, the other hand was at the back of my pressing very hard. I tried to remove both of my hands because I was tired and I felt like the force was pulling me down/ I was gonna fall down.
To cut the long story short, I did several xrays but can't see anything/ fault from my chest. I've noticed cold, lifting heavy things, air conditioning were causing more pain on my chest even when I'm overwhelmed. Walking for too long, climbing the stairs etc. I saw different specialists, two of them noticed that my sternum might be. broken. I went to do the CT SCAN where indeed it was proven that my sternum is broken but not displaced and swelling. Three of the doctors told me that operation on my sternum can't be done. Recently I went to see another specialist doctor and told me that he can operate me though he can't promise or give me the guarantee if this operation is gonna help me on my sternum pain. What can I do now??? Should I take chances and go ahead and do this operation on my sternum??? I'm so confused and scared.
