I have used Allegra D for many years when my allergies act up, but I have noticed that my body is not breaking down or digesting the tan side of the pill. To be exact the pill comes out just as it goes in (minus the white side). I have told my Dr. this but he has no idea why. When I use Allegra D it does seem to help the fluid build up in my ear, but I would like to know what part of the pill I am not getting and why? ## Hello, Stellie! How are you? You are getting all of the medication. That part of the tablet is time released, so the outside doesn't dissolve, after the medication is released, it is just expelled as waste. It's designed this way so the white part of the tablet releases immediately with a dose of the medications in order to get faster control of your symptoms, t...

I have chronic hives and take tachrilomus. Would it be safe to take redotex every other day in half a dose? ## Hello, Annie! How are you? No, I can't tell anyone that it is safe to take Redotex in any amount. The FDA has found serious reasons to question its safety. If you need to lose weight, it would be best and safest to talk to your doctor about what might work for you. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have chronic hives as well (dermatographism) I take 2 Allegra a day and redotex, no side effects. I lose weight and hives under control

I have been eating allegra 120 since last 1 month. my question is can i eat Tritrab-DSR (rabprazole) antacid. ## Hi Rucha, According to umm.edu, there are no drug interactions listed between Allegra and Rabeprazole. Based off this information alone, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able take these two meds together. The only thing I'm weary of when it comes to using more than 1 medication at a time is that in the event of any side effects (god forbid), it may be difficult to determine which medication is the underlying cause. At any rate, please post back if there's anything else I can help with! ## Hi. When you take any medication too close in proximity, time-wise, to an antacid or a laxative, less of whatever you are taking, gets in your system. You need to s...

Hi, I have been taking the Allegra D 12 for a few weeks now & it really works excellently for me! I know this sounds gross but my doctor has me check my stool because of a prior but cured events! Lol... So...I'm curious as to why my body does not digest the brown portion of the pill!? Any ideas anyone? ## Hello, Ryan! How are you? Because that's the time released portion. The outer shell is part of what helps it to release slowly, over time, as it absorbs fluid in your stomach. Then, the empty shell is expelled as waste. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was taking Losar H due to high bp (190/82). I started getting angiodema since it is an ACE inhibitor. Now I am taking Losar 50 twice daily for last 10 days. But still I am getting affected by Angiodema with reduced intensity almost every two days. I have come to USA (MA) on tour from India for 4 months and will stay here till July. The occurance of Angiodema is more frequent here in USA. Suggest some remidies pl. Can I take Allegra 180 regularly? Angiodema is significantly less if I take Allegra 180. ## Hello, Tapan! How are you doing? I'm not a doctor, so I can't say what medication is or isn't safe for you to take. It might be a better idea for you to switch off the Losartan and start taking something else. There are other options available that may not cause the same is...

started taking allegra after four days wake up at night hard to breath its like a weight on my chest and I panic feels like I may die goes away in 10-15 minutes happened twice I stopped taking the allegra and these symtoms are gone. Any one out there have these symstoms while taking allegra. Thanks ## @John, Sorry to hear about your experience with Allegra. According to nih.gov, "chest tightness" and "trouble breathing" are both listed as an allergic reaction to Allegra (fexofenadine). They go on to note that you should contact your doctor right away if any of these symptoms manifest. Having said that, it sounds like adhering to these precautions would probably be a wise decision. Perhaps your doctor can suggest another alternative if anything, just to play it safe. Hope...

This is from my pharacist and is suppose to be generic of Allegra 60mg. Worried it was a mistake.Nomally lt peach shade. Can you help me identify. ## Hello, Cathy! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 60mgs of Fexofenadine. The colors of medications don't actually mean anything, that's entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer and your pharmacy may switch which generic they carry, at any given time, depending on who was offering the cheapest price, at the time they needed to restock their supply. The FDA classifies this medication as an antihistamine and lists the typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I had been recommended Clavam 600 with Allegra 120 for 7 days for treating my 3 months old Sinusitis. So far after completion of course not much improvement is noticed. What should be done as no medicine especially antibiotics seem to be working on my sinus infection ?

Why is it so hard to find 60 mg fexofenadine on shelves anywhere. The only thing I can find generic or otherwise is 180 mg, 24 hour. ## Hello, SJW! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. I'm sorry, but I'm not exactly sure why you can't find it, since it is an over the counter product, shortages are not required to be reported. Have you tried asking your pharmacist? They may know more. This is a generic for Allegra, which is used to treat allergies and which may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and drowsiness. It could even be that the 60mg dosage just doesn't sell as much as the other, so it may not be viable for most stores to keep it in stock.

I am very confused which side of the pill could be sudafedrine the tan are the white ## Hello, Robert! How are you? Neither one is just the Pseudoephedrine, the ingredients are equally dispersed throughout the entire tablet. The different colors is just something that manufactured decided to do to emphasize the ingredients and how their medication is supposed to work. Side effects to Allegra-D may include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and elevated blood pressure. This medication is used to treat allergy symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

im using allegra tablet for my allergy condition. some days before i had chest infection nd i went to a diffrent doctor . i told him im an allergy patient. along with the antibiotics for chest infection he prescribed ebast m tablets. i know ebast m tablets are also used for allergic conditions. i followed his medicine for 10 days. now ma chest infection is gone. but allergy is still there. can i continue my old medicine allergra 120? does using both the medicines which are meant for the same disease, one after the other cause any problems? ??! ## Hello, Tinku! How are you? It doesn't make much sense to take 2 medications to treat the same problem, in this case, especially if the one isn't working for you. It would probably be better to just go back to taking your Allegra, unless...

Loratidine no longer works for me and my nose is always running. I'm allergic to dust and mold. occasionally I get sinus headaches but not all the time. ## Hello, Jeanne! How are you? Have you ever tried Allegra/Fexofenadine? It's very similar and also available over the counter. However, only your doctor can say wether or not it is safe for you. Side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. ## Ask your doctor about Singulair, it is a prescription/nondrowsy allergy medication. Since your allergic response "cells" are most productive in the early morning hours, like midnight through 3 am,, it is best to take Singulair at 8 pm so the drug peaks at that time. Talk to your doctor, I've seen amazing results.

CAN THE MAIN INGREDIENTS BE SEPARATED ## Hi MIZTAZ, To my understanding, the active ingredients in Allegra D 12hr are not intended to be tampered with or separated. If you just want Fexofenadine on its own, normal Allegra may be what it is you're looking for. Pseudoephedrine is also available on its own, and is marketed under the brand name Sudafed/12 hr. Both options should be available OTC, but you may have to ask your pharmacist to get it for you if it's behind one of those locked glass doors. I hope this helps to answer your question!

Only have half of pill its oblong but flat top n bottom last number's are 012D 1/2 the pill is aprox. 1/2 inch its the color of spicy brown mustered. If that helps ## Hi jon, Based on the description provided, the closest match I'm finding is a half white/half tan oblong shaped pill, marked with "06/012D" on one side and blank on the other. This particular tablet is identified as Allegra-D (12 hour), containing: fexofenadine 60mg + pseudoephedrine 120mg - a combination commonly used to treat hay fever. NOTE: the tan side does appear to resemble mustard, in that it also has little brown freckles/specks throughout that side of the pill. It is manufactured by Sanofi-Aventis, has a National Drug Code of 00088-1090, and is about 19mm in size. I hope this helps! Please post ba...

I found an oval, orange/pink pill, scored on one side with a cursive/fancy "M" on one side. Can anyone identify this pill for me? Thank you! ## Hello, Based on the description provided, I'm not finding any specific tablets listed with that imprint. However I did come across a potential match for the manufacturer. Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals has what appears to be a cursive "M" on one side of their pill. I could be wrong in assuming that it's an M, but it does look that way. If you were to run a search on google images for "E 018 Pill Allegra" you would likely come across a photo of the logo that I'm referring to. Please post back and let me know if you think this logo fits your description of the cursive/fancy "M"? I hope this helps! ## I t...
