9 Weeks On Lex

Hi
I have been on Lex for longer than 8 weeks ,I started to feel a bit better of my GAD but from one day to another ,I felt depressed for a few days and just out of the blue I am so anxious ,can not sleep and I do have recurrent ideas
Did anyone relapse on Lexapro?maybe it never worked and It was only the placebo effect

It has been known to occur with these types of medications, they cause the opposite of their intended effect in some people that take them.

No Idea really
I am going to the shrink today,he will suggest something for me
Hope upping the dosage ,cos if I do have to change medication I might have to get over all again?? and I swear to god that i had a very very bad time at first with Lexapro

I have been told to up the dosage to 15 mg and be seeing in a week ,do I have to expect side affect again>??
I am scared at first I only felt anxious and now I am depressed

You need to give the medication more time! Wait at least another month, then if necessary, increase. Hang in there.

Was upped dosage to 20 mgs ,I have been on it for nearly two weeks ,I have gone from moments that I thought I was cured and relapsed badly again ,now I am taking it easy and see how it goes on 20 ,if does not work better on my anxiety ,I will ask to try Effexor perhaps

I'm on 25mg of Lexapro & it works for me but everyone responds differently to certain medications. Also, your anxiety can increase during a dosage change so that may be why you feel off. I'm 26 but I've been on anxiety meds since 11. Effexor did not work for me but it may work for you if Lexapro doesn't! Also, meds didn't cure my anxiety alone, weekly therapy & exercise helped

As I said I am on 20 for two weeks nearly! was on 10 for 9 weeks and nothing happened
Let's see if this work cos I am taking a couple of xanax per day to get me functioning
I do cycling ,yoga ,therapy and walks but still feel s*** honestly
how can you be for such a long while on drugs ???

Well I was just trying to help you. I stay on my medication because I think it keeps me in check. However, I hope to get off it in the next year.
