Is Zytomil the same as Lexamil?

The chemist gave me Zytomil but I have been on Lexamil for 12 years. Is it the same or am I going to start side effects again? ## Hello diane, Both Zytomil and Lexamil contain the same active ingredient Escitalopram Oxalate, so to some degree yes the drugs are the same. If you do start to have problems inform your doctor as soon as you can to ensure that you are still safe to administer the medication. I hope you have a great day, le... ...

Will this help? ## It is an SSRI antidepressant, so it may help, but the only way to find out is by trying it to see if it helps you.
