I have a sister with a mental illness, who took serentil for years. It has been off the market for 6-7 years, she was never hospitalized when you was taking serentil. She has been on several medications by themselves and in conjunction with other drugs, and nothing seems to work well. She has been hospitalized at least 7 times since serentil was taken off the market. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or any knowledge about this drug or anything that might replace it. Thanks ## My son took Serentil and did well in combination with Tegretol. No other meds have done sd well. If you find a substitute or a good reply please let me know. I have thought about contacting the drug company to see if they had a suggestion> ## Painfully and sadly my mother and no doubt countless oth...

I'm a generally healthy male of 58. Had heavy bronchitic asthma all my life. Till 30th year I regularly had tapered courses of prednisone. After that it went so well that I, except once in the few years, can life my life well with just spiriva and seretide. But then again I feel I live up to, say, 75 % of my optimum this way. Since a few months I add, on a weekly basis, one day 20 mg, next 10 mg, next 5 mg prednisone and I'm near the 100% that way. Would this use be considered a form of long time use, with the well known dangers of (creeping) side-effects (I don't notice any, actually) or as such a low dose/such a mild regiment that there's no harm to be expected? Thanks for any reaction! ## Hello, Turing! How are you? Yes, even at a low dose that's used occasionally...

I was diagnosed Bipolar over 20 years ago. As many who have this "disease" I have been off and on many different types of meds. Many of those meds stopped working, no longer work, or I have an intolerance to. I have been on Equetro, Serequel, and Klonopen now for quite a while with success. I am "older" now and this years has been the worse year of my life with my bipolar. I am scared that it will overtake me again and so am vigilant with my meds NOW. After a really bad year of trying many different meds and combination of meds, I am finally doing well. However, when I get busy with all my life's responsibilities, I may forget a dose of my meds. This never use to bother me. I would just take the next dose and move on. LATELY though, if I miss even one dose, it is not...
