These are round, 9 mm in diameter, pinkish-orange in color, unscored, with Z 3626 embossed on one side. I'm supposed to be taking two doses of 100mg of doxy twice a day for ten days for upper respiratory infection. On my third day, but have only taken it once a day due to forgetting to take my second pill each day. Does this mean that I won't get rid of the infection because I'm not taking it right? Is the one a day ok taking even going to benefit me? Doctor gave me doxycycline and said to start taking it if i got worse. I took a nap and awoke in a worse state. If i take one now at 3:30pm can i take another tonight at 12:00; then tomorrow go every 12 hours? ## Ideally, it should be taken as close to 12 hours apart as possible, according to the FDA. All standard U.S. manufactured medications are required to have markings on them to enable their identification. I was prescribed doxycycline for uti/possible pelvic infection. I saw 2 doctors and they told me two different things. I have been on the medicine for 3 days and am experiencing severe headaches, extreme pressure in my stomach and bloating. Is this normal?
