I have a pill with the letter m on one side and the # 18 what and I'm taking and for what??? ## Hi Sonny, I found a small white round pill with a capital "M" over the number "18" on one side; and blank on the back (aside from a dividing score line where you can split the pill in two). Is your tablet scored as well? The pill I'm describing is identified as Metoprolol tartrate 25mg [made by Mylan], used for treating high blood pressure. On the back side it is blank. Is there any chance that the marking could've been misinterpreted depending on the pill's condition and which way it was being held? If this did turn out to be a match then it would be identified as a 500mg acetaminophen tablet, made by Qualitest. If it is M18, then you have 25mgs of Metoprolol, used to help control high blood pressure. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. It has 44 on top and 148 on the bottom, with a line through it. It's round and white with nothing on the other side. Is it Percocet or Tylenol? ## All tablets with the 44 and 3 additional numbers are over the counter products, this one is manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 500mgs of Acetaminophen, which is a generic for Tylenol. They have an M on one side and numbers on the other. However, I cannot confirm that this is what your pill is, without knowing what those additional numbers are.
