This was prescribed for our dog. He has had hip surgery as well as treating eye infections. He's a Westie and has lots of health issues. I found these in a baggie with his name on it. ## Hello Pepper, I believe what you have there is a Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (also known as a MAO-I) which was previously the commonly used drug for use in dogs for the treatment of canine cognitive dysfunction and pituitary-dependent Cushing’s disease. This drug is FDA approved but not regularly used anymore due to the discovery that it has adverse effects with multiple common dog foods and other various drugs given to dogs.
