Does anyone know when a generic suboxone will be available ## Suboxone first received FDA approval in 2002 and the exclusivity patent will run out on August 30, 2013, but the doesn't necessarily mean that a generic will become available at that time. Learn more Suboxone details here. Are you having trouble affording this medication? ## The generic suboxone came out in February of this year..2013. I know this because i have them. They are white, have a half-moon on one side, and 155 on the other. They are much harder than the Orange tabs making them easier to break & proportion. Hope this helps.

I was given a fairly large white round pill that seems to be coated. On one side is a large g and the other sife has numbers, it broke so i can only make out a 1 at the bottom. I was told they are generic suboxone. Has anyon ever seen these? ## Yes, that is the new generic suboxone. Should be a quarter moon on one side and 155 on the other. ## @Johnny, I actually think you have a pill by the name of "Metformin" because the imprints match the description you provided. It is a (500 mg) white round pill with a large G on one side and on the other side, the imprint MF over 1. Metformin is an oral anti-diabetic drug in the biguanide class used in the treatment of diabetes, type 2, polycystic ovary syndrome, female infertility, and insulin resistance syndrome. Has anyone gotten the white w22 generic suboxone tablet? What is your opinion on them? This is the first time I got them and they are awful. They don't work the same and make you extremely tired. Also the taste of them is like you have artificial sweetener under your tongue. Very nasty. Never want them again. What does everyone else think? ## I love they're the only ones that I like. I love that they don't have the nasty over powering orange taste. But can I ask a question? What pharmacy did you get them from cuz I'm moving and need to know where to get them! ## I hate the w22 when I take them I feel like they don't work at all. I've been on duotone or subutex for about 12 years and this is by a landslide the absolutely worse one that I've tried. And I have p...

How are you? Yes, Hi-Tech Pharmacal Co. list this as being an 8mg/2mg generic for Suboxone in a sublingual formulation. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am prescribed the 2mg Actavis bupe/nalox tabs. the ones with a moon on one side and 154 on the other. i like these they kick in sooner feel a bit stronger than a 2mg suboxone tablet. also i prefer the taste. What are other peoples expeience with the two generics. im especially curious about the new orange amneal tabs as ive heard mixed reviews. id like opinions on both ## @Jeremy, Although I don't have any personal experience with this drug, I thought it might be helpful to redirect you to a more active discussion thread on Suboxone, while you're waiting in the meantime... I now am prescribed suboxone tabs and many pharmacies turned me down even though they were on my list from the dr. So I went to Wal-Mart where I had been going and they had to order the tabs. When I got them they r called buna and r the half moon 155 white round pills, but they r like 8 something a piece! I tried using the GoodRx coupon but the pharmacist said they will only take coupons from the manufacturer and I don't even know who or what to look for. Can someone please help! I love feeling normal but its costing so much money! HELP! ## I have gotten the same spiel from my doctor about Subutex yet no law exists to support this claim. I have been on Subs for over ...

I've always gotten the orange Amneal marked AN 415. Recently in the past few months the main pharmacy I was using Walgreens were telling me that they were out of those kind and I had to look for pharmacies that did have them after receiving the white Actavis brand which was the worst switch! I just looked right next door to Safeways who did have them. Eventually Walgreens told me they were no longer going to be getting those kind after telling me that they were on "back order" for so long. The pharmacist who is usually nice was a jerk about it also. So I moved permanently (or so I hoped) to Safeway but the last 2 months they too ran out and were allot nicer in telling me that they have been having a hard time ordering the Amneal orange ones and that they might not be getting...

I have narcolepsy and was taking Suboxone strips. I got tons of energy but my insurance stoped covering them and switched me to this generic white pill with N8 on it and an arrow on the back. It gives me no energy ??? ## Has it been prescribed for this use? That's not something it is normally used for, since its possible side effects can include nausea, dizziness, and drowsiness, according to FDA reports. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. Are you on any other medications? Did your doctor ever have you try an amphetamine, such as Adderall? ## Hi can you tell me what kind of pharmacy gave you that kind because I get suboxone and I’d like to get that kind filled and try them plz and thanks

I went to pick up my suboxone strips and was given the little white pill instead which I have read is the generic form. I normally take 1/2 strip twice daily and took the entire 8mg. tablet and did not have any of my normal effects from the strips. I then took another tablet a few hours later and still nothing. I read that this form of suboxone does not work and can cause you to go into withdrawal. Is this true? Why isn't it working? What can I do. The pharmacy told me that my insurance only covers the generic form, and not the orange ones or the strips. I'm obviously concerned about this and not sure what I can do. Any feedback would be appreciated. ## What are the markings on the tablet in question? Can you please post back and clarify? What effects are you expecting it to cau...

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the 5721 & 155? I have been on 155s & just recently got switched to 5721 due to my pharmacy. I called them today because I have been sick with bad headaches & stomach aches. But only after I take these. ## Hello, Capone! How are you? Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredients, by as much as plus or minus 20% and they do not have to measure against each other, only the name brand. Thus one generic could be lower in the amount of the active ingredients and one could be higher, which could explain you symptoms. However, since the differences are usually very slight, your body tends to adjust in a week, or two. Are you doing any better, yet?

little round white pill arrow sign pointing to the right on one side imprint number 8 on the other side ## Hi, Smokey! How are you? This is actually a generic for an 8mg Subutex tablet, it's a sublingual that's meant to be dissolved under your tongue. The difference is that the Subutex and its generics don't contain Naloxone, they only contain the Buprenorphine. Learn more Subutex details here. My message is for the person who was saying something about other companies not making suboxone because the first company has the rights to making it exclusively. While it is true for a period of I believe somewhere between 3 -7 years after it hits the market, suboxone has been around long enough that other companies can now make the same medicine and be in direct competition with the makers of the original suboxone. And there are several different generic suboxone makers now. It's big business and big money to these corporations that those of us dependent on the drug remain hooked just as we were our drug of choice. I have started to taper down off suboxone now, and hope to be off it by oct, 2013. I'm not knocking it for use as a substitute for other hard opioids, it's just...

who has been suboxone CVS or walgreens.I know thwy are generic but which is better of the two ## You're really asking a subjective question, because a generic that works well for one person may not work that well for you and vice-versa. What you really need to discover is which one works best for you. Learn more Suboxone details here. Have you had problems with any that you've tried? ## Walgreens or CVS has the exact same thing when it comes to suboxen, not sure what dose you are on but an 8mg suboxen strip will have 6mg of buprenorphine and 2mg of naloxone. ## The difference between the two.... Walgreens has the orange generics and cvs has the white generics. I had both and imo, they're exactly the same. But if I had to choose, I would go with walgreens only bc in my head I...

I am in Tennessee, and have been prescribed Suboxone 8/2mg ratio, and was told that the blister packs are the best for people I tried the Amneal orange generic, and it didn't work as well as the white ones I have had in the past. If you know of any pharmacy that carries them please let me know. It said cvs carried them, but I went to five different cvs and they told me "we are not accepting new patients for that drug", so cvs is out and it's the only one I knew that carried the brand manufactured by Actavis Pharmaceuticals, recently acquired by Teva pharmaceuticals. Does Walgreens carry the white Suboxone (Buprenorphine/naloxone), or rite-aid. Any advice is appreciated.
