I have a white capsule that has brown powder on the inside and no markings. It's a brownish red powder on the inside. What can it be? ## Hi Chasidy, Just out of curiosity, whereabouts did you get your pill from? Knowing its origin may provide helpful clues for narrowing down prospective pill ID's. Also, does the brownish/red powder have any sort of smell to it? Certain herbal supplements have distinct (recognizable) odors. Unfortunately, without the verification of a lab analysis, a pill with no markings could turn out to be anyone's best guess... One thing's for sure though, and that is, the FDA doesn't approve any US prescription drugs that do not have an imprint or marking of some kind for reference. Having said this, I can only assume that the pill itself may be ...

Went for walk on county rd 2 miles out of town. Found clear capsules filled with white powder. Found about 20 capsules full of this white powder, just thrown on the side of the road! Worried about children finding them. Started to pick them up, and just throw them away. But decided to call local Police. They took the pills and said there wasn't much they could do. They will throw them away. ## If they follow proper police procedure, they will destroy them, before disposing of them, the fact that there isn't much they can do is correct. Losing a stash of pills somewhere isn't a crime. And, without any markings on them, it would be very difficult to determine what they may contain. They could have them lab tested, but going to that expense, without any criminal investigation i...

I came across some pills that got mixed into another bottle with some so I am not sure what they are now. They are capsules and look like a very light gray and white capsule. The powder inside is brown. There are no markings or imprints on the capsule at all. ## I am sorry, but without any markings, it will be impossible to positively identify, unless you would pay to have it lab tested. We can safely say it is a not a legal U.S. prescription drug, since by law they are all required to have markings to enable their ID. But, otherwise, it could be any one of a number of over the counter products, there are quite a few herbal supplements that meet this description. I am sorry, I wish I could help more. ## Grey capsule with white cap. Looks old but I think the insides were once brown. All ...

What is this large white capsule with a light brown powder inside? Just found it while cleaning a hotel room. ## Hi Liza, There are countless conceivable herbal products that fit this type of description as well as various OTC dietary supplements. With so many possibilities, it would be very challenging to narrow down anything in particular. If you think it could be something illicit, I believe your best bet for identifying it would be through a lab analysis / drug panel or perhaps taking the pill into a local pharmacy for a closer evaluation. Other than that, it seems to me like it should just be discarded to remain on the safe side. Please post back if you find out any additional information.

this capsule has no identifying marks ## Hello, Duby! How are you? If there are no markings, then we can rule it out as being a prescription medication, since they are required by law to have markings to enable their identification. The only exception would be something done by a compounding pharmacy, but they use plain capsules. That means that this is most likely an over the counter product. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this capsule?

Light blue & white capsule no markings the cap of the capsule is light blue and its filled with a chalky white powder ## If there are no markings, it is going to be difficult to determine what this contains. We can rule it out as being a U.S. manufactured prescription medication, because they are all required to have markings to enable their identification. However, it could be any one of a large number of over the counter items, there is also a small chance that it could be a foreign medication. A third option would be something that was specially done by a compounding pharmacy, since they use capsules and there are usually no markings on them. Does anyone else have any ideas what this might be? ## If it's from a compounding pharmacy, the pills usually are not marked. The 2 or ...

Hello, I found these very strange clear tiny glass capsules with white powder in them, and I can't identify what it is. Here's what I do know: the capsules have numbers on them, and the only other marking is on the black cap that has a little heart rate symbol on it. They come in around a 12 pack with just a white container, no name, markings, or anything. It's very similar to what BIO-tropin, the steroid thats injected, comes in. However, the white powdery substance on the inside is almost stuck together; if i try flipping the capsule over the powder doesnt fall to the bottom, which is different than the BIO-tropin which is a loose consistency. The last piece of info is that the bottle appears to not be able to open, like BIO-tropin, where it has an area under the cap to stick

Found a clear capsule with white powder in it with a sort of peanutbutter smell to it ## If there are no markings, it is going to be difficult to determine exactly what this contains. We can rule it out as being a U.S. manufactured prescription product, because they are all required to have markings to enable their identification. However, that still leaves several possibilities, it could be something that was specially ordered and done by a compounding pharmacy, it could be an over the counter product, or a foreign medication. Where was it found? Does anyone else have any ideas?

I'm trying to find out what these pills are. There are no numbers or markings on the capsule ## Hello, Neal! How are you? I'm sorry, but without any markings, it is going to be difficult to determine what they contain with any certainty. We can rule them out as being a U.S. prescription product, since they are all require to have markings to enable their identification. Compounding pharmacies sometimes do specially ordered medications, but they use plain capsules, in most cases. That means that this is most likely and over the counter product, which leaves it open to many possibilities. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Found 2 red capsules (looks like white powder inside) in a small clear plastic sealed bag. ## If there are no markings, it is going to be difficult to narrow down what thse contain. It has white powder in it, no markings, and when I opened it it smelled really sweet. I am thinking possibly a cranberry vitamin/supplement??? Are there any products that are packaged like that?

There arent any prescription markings on it. Its a big pill almost plastic like, I found it on my bed after my after my boyfriend left. Im guessing its from one of his friends. Ive never known of him taking pills or any drugs so I'm really puzzled. Any ideas? ## If it has no markings, then it's most likely something that's available over the counter. From the description, my best guess would be that it's a supplement of some type. Have you tried asking him about it? Does anyone recognize this? ## I found the same pills hidden in my son's room. Can ANYONE tell me what it is??? Found a red and grey capsule with white powder and no markings - what is it? I cant find it anywhere. ## The FDA requires all prescription products in the U.S. to have unique imprints to enable their identification, in case of emergency, so this is most likely an over the counter product, of some type, though there is a small chance it was a specially compounded medication, or something from a foreign source. Is anyone else familiar with a capsule matching this description?

blue and white capsule with no writing on it but it was filled with dark green powder ..what is it? ## Without a marking to identify it by, this could literally be anything from A to Z. However given the pill description I would lean toward some sort of OTC dietary supplement; maybe even a pre/post-workout related capsule, as these tend to have no markings but also bear a unique appearance that may be similar to this (at least some that I've taken in the past). But despite anyone's best efforts here, the only way to truly verify what it is would probably be to have its contents analyzed by a lab. If you don't mind me asking, whereabouts did you get it from?

I found a blister pack of 4, all dark blue capsules, with white powder inside. The only marking is on the blister packet of a LOT Number. No markings at all on the capsules. They were in my boyfriends coat jacket, he is 38. He said they were for back problem, but I know they cant be as they are unmarked and I pick up his prescriptions for his back problems. white oblong capsule shaped no other markings ## I would need an imprint or markings in order to locate the correct pill. I have a pharmacy in my bathroom, I have liver cancer, and I was told by a pharmacist over the phone it was Roxicet, but my research has disproved that.
