This is to answer the question is there a higher dose form of norco the answer is yes it's called Zohydro it was made here in San Diego and has been approved by the Fda and Sea but it might be hard to find and the insurance company might not cover it, it's and extended version kinda like oxycontin for oxycodone and it comes in different doses. I have been taking Hydrocodone 10/325 for chronic pain, 1 pill every 6 hours. My Dr. just prescribed Oxycodone 5/325 with up to 2 pills every 6 hours. Which is stronger? ## The oxy is stronger but who knows your body may b used 2 the vicoden. i'm on ocycontin 60mg 4xs daily my break through pain med is either hydrocodone 10-650 or oxycodone w acetaminophen 5-325 which is more effective for pain relief i have to chose one ## At that narcotic dosage, 10mgs of Hydrocodone, versus 5mgs of Oxycodone, they are roughly equivalent. The only way to see which one may be more effective for you is to actually try one of them and see how it works. The Hydrocodone option does have more Acetaminophen in it. so you may also want to base your decision on how concerned you are about that, since it can cause some stomach problems. Therefore the combination drug containing oxycodone should be roughly twice as strong as the one containing hydrocodone. These drugs are only available in the UK in their pure form, not adulterated with paracetamol like yours. As I have written elsewhere, I really don't see the point of the combos. Unless you are suffering a fever, in which case paracetamol will ease the body temperature. But why take the non-narcotic unless you really need it? Just started using hydrocodone apap tab5mg-325. This first dose I took is 2 pills at 12 noon. The bottle instructions say you can take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours. It is now 3:15 pm and it feels like the hydro pills, made by Amneal are just about finished. The pills I have been taking prior to this are oxycodone, Mallinckrodt, acetaminophen 5-325 and I take 1 pill every 6 hours. This is OXY condone, NOT HYDRO codone made by Amneal.
