What Mg Are There Of Phenobarbital

Is there a change in the dosage of phenobarbital 30 mg and if so why aren't pharmacies and doctors on the same page. I have been waiting for 2 wks for my prescription to be filled. I have taken 30 mg for 40yrs for a seizure disorder. I find this irresponsible on all levels, my health has been put at risk with everyone just shrugging their shoulders. ## Hi, Margy! I have been on pheonbarbital for 40 years, no problem 60 mg 2x a day now. I am being told its back ordered, they don't make it, they reformulated it, to 16.2, 32.4, 64.8, 97.2. I have called all the pharmacys, rite aid, walgreen, walmart, cvs, walmart, even you mail ord company can't get it as its back ordered with no release date, what are we to do, we have to have this med daily, and some pharmacist is not going to tell me that the 64.8 is the same as 60 mg that would mean I would be taking almost 9mg more than perscribed, also how can a pharmacy fill a perscription for 60mg with 64.88mg, I would think that if they were turned in they could be in trouble. This is the 2nd month in a row I went to get a refill on a prescription and now walgreens tells me that the 64.8 mg has been discontinued by the manufacturer I need to talk to my doctor for an alternative. They were only going to give me 5 days worth of pills until I asked how many they had and said I take them all which wasn't even a months worth. I have been on Suboxone for over a year and I want to get off of it. I am down to.5 mg once a day. For some reason that last .5 mg is the hardest part for me to get off of. My doctor has prescribed Phenobarbital 32.4 mg. for agitation. But I also have some Clonidine 0.1 mg left from an old prescrption. If my withdrawals get pretty bad at night, is it safe to take Phenobarbital 32.4 mg and Clonidine 0.1 mg together? ## Hello, Angie! How are you? this is what i found about that phenobarbital oral will decrease the level or effect of tizanidine oral by affecting hepatic enzyme CYP1A2 metabolism. ## it was exactly two days ago i took tizanidine ## Hello, Cradle81! That would generally only be a concern if they were taken very close together, as in hours of each other, not days apart…..and Tizanidine is just muscle relaxant, so reducing the efficacy of it is not as big of a concern as if it were a heart medication, or other life-sustaining substance. You should double check this with your doctor or pharmacist to be safe, but most likely there's nothing that you need to worry about here. Is there anything else I can help with?

barbexaclone ## This information available on this is limited, but from what I can find, it is a compound of Phenobarbital and Levopropulhexedine. It is claimed to be as effective as the Phenobarbital, but also to be better tolerated by most people. Are you currently taking this?

Why am I not able to get my persciption filled at any pharmacy for this medication? They say it's not available. What can else can take for the relief of IBS? I fould 3 pills that say that on top. They are small white pills. ## West Ward 445 is 15 mg Phenobarbital ## Abe is correct. It is most commonly used to prevent seizures. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings, and weight changes. Is there anything I can help with?
