What Kind Of Pill Is Oblong And Has Numbers On It

Bright Red, oblong pill, scored, imprint "one" on one side. Can't find this pill in any of the on-line literature. ## Because this pill has no "identifiable" markings, it is going to be difficult to determine what this tablet contains. U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have unique letters or numbers (sometimes in addition to a logo of some kind) imprinted on the tablets or capsules so the medication can be identified by manufacturer, substance and dosage. However, the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so there could be many, many pills on the market, both over the counter and prescription that meet that physical description. It is very likely that this pill falls into one or more of the categories listed below:...

I found some white oblong pills with NO markings of any kind on them and I have no idea what it is. I've taken many medications from opiates to benzos and barbituates in the last 8 years and can pretty much tell what anything is but like I said, this is just a plain pill, just a bit shorter than an inch with no letters, numbers, symbols, nothing. What could this be? ## Hello, CC! How are you? If there are no markings, then unless you've ordered medications from a foreign source, they have to be over the counter products. All U.S. prescription medications are required to have unique markings to enable their identification. Are there any over the counter products that you remember buying? Perhaps Acetaminophen or a supplement of some type?

LOOKING FOR WHAT KIND OF PILL THIS OBLONG YELLOW ;PILL READING THE NUMBERS 683 ## I located an oblong yellow pill marked G 682. This is the closest match I could find, which turns out to be Budeprion XL (300 mg); an atypical antidepressant and smoking cessation aid. I also tried 683 with no matches. NOTE: The pill marked G 682 has the G on the backside of the pill and 682 on the front. If this is your pill you can view more information about it by clicking on the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you.

I found a pill with the imprint L917 on it and dont know what it is. It is not scored and has no manufacturer name. What is it? ## I can't find a listing for this in any of our resources, which does make sense, because most of the tablets with an L followed by three additional numbers are over the counter items and they are not required to log their imprints with the FDA. Was it found in the U.S.? Does anyone else recognize this? ## I was prescribed hydrocodone 5 mgs and found a white oblong pill with l917 no line in the center of the pill just L917 and on the pill the bottle it says watson pharmacueticals but i cant find L917 in watsons data base. Would like to know what kind of pill this is. ## Based on my research, I've only come across one pill that actually closely resembles your description of the pill. The one I found is a 400mg Acyclovir tablet, used for treating herpes simplex. It's a white oblong-shaped tablet with a large capital "A" that has a partial vertical line (like this "/") going through the side of it... and right next to the letter A is the following set of numbers "5306"; no markings on the backside. For verification, the manufacturer is reported to be Apotex and the tablet itself carries a National Drug Code of 60505-5306. Does this sound like it could be a possible match?

Red and yellow capsule - NO imprint at all. Maybe an antibiotic or Cipro...... ## I don't think this pill was manufactured in the U.S., as it has no letter or number imprints. Oblong light blue pill with 17 on one side and D on other side ## Hi Myssi, The closest match I'm finding to your description, is an oblong light blue pill with the numbers "1|7" on one side (separated by a divit/score line) and a capital "A" on the other (which looks like it could actually resemble a D, depending on the overall condition it's in - because the letter A is kinda bulged outward in the center). At any rate, this particular pill is identified as a 50mg Sertraline hydrochloride tablet, used for treating depression and anxiety. For verification, the manufacturer is listed as Aurobindo Pharma and the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 65862-0012. Additional reports suggest that it is approximately 10mm in size.
